Overcomers.....not Survivors
I love what a lady in the oncology waiting room told me..."We're not survivors, we're overcomers!" I don't know what all of you believe, but I believe the Bible is God's Word to us and this quote went right along with some verses I know to be true. I John 5:4 "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is…

Our friend and fellow warrior, Marty White, has passed away. Many of you are "newbies" and didn't know Marty, but a few of you might remember her. She was diagnosed in Nov of 2008 - stage IIIc. Marty stopped posting on the board around the time that her doctors gave her "a year or less" to live. I kept in touch with her…

Juicing and juicers
Hi Ladies, Do any of you juice? If so, what type of juicer do you have? Does anyone happen to own a Health Master or Ninja? I have seen bits and pieces of infomercials lately about these two products. From what I understand juicing is supposed to be extremely healthy. I'm willing to give a try. :) Thanks, Carla

I just got my latest CA 125 result and it is 23. The last one was 8 and before that 5. Up until then it had always decreased or stayed the same. I am scared out of my wits. I know less than 35 is considered within range but that is not keeping me from freaking out. I left word for my oncologist to call me. I have been in…

I usually don't feel like messing with it, but today I am having a really good day, so I put some makeup on. Ummmm, I look like a weird doll. So I re applied, and again, uhhh no. Dealing with the unknown
I sent an email to my gyn/onc/surgeon today. At my checkup in November I expressed alarm that my count had gone from 3 to 5 and he said anything under 10 was okay. He further stated that even if it went into double digits he would not be too concerned. I wanted to know his thoughts behind that statement since my count is…

Has anyone been consuming black raspberries (not blackberries) on a regular basis as part of her ant
The studies on these berries seemed intriguing so I looked for them in stores and found them unavailable even in NYC where I live. I order them from FrankFarms.com, freeze them in 1 cup portions and add them to my smoothie every morning. I have no idea if they are helping but I am NED from stage 4B UPSC for almost 15…

Breakouts on my head.
So, I started losing my hair a while ago. It's not completely gone but definitely thinned out dramatically particularly towards the front of my head. I ended up getting it shaved. The lady at the salon used the second to shortest setting. I had maybe 1 or 2 pimples on my scalp when I had it shaved, but now there are a ton…

Avaistan and Nose Issues
I have had nose bleeds, runny nose, and extreme pain in my nose due to the avaistan. A friend of mine said she had similar problems while on Avaistan. Soaps & detergents
I read in Chris Bledy's book (12 yr survivor of 3c), that she would only use soaps and detergents that had ingredients in them she recognized as not harmful. This is due to chemicals being absorbed through pores that could hurt the body. However she did not say what she used. Wondering if anyone had suggestions. Thanks…
