Does the dread of getting test results every get easier?
I had a CT Tuesday, petscan Thursday. I should get my results next Tuesday. It's been almost a year since my surgery. In December the dr. said I was in complete remission. Now for whatever reason, (I feel great, no apparent symptoms of recurrence), I'm really scared to get the results. Does this get easier with time? I…

After surgery pain and soreness questions.
Wondering if anyone has had a DaVinci roboto hysterectomy along with ovary removal, tubes removed and abdominal lining removal for biopsy? I have some pain now that I did not have before in the week following the surgery (lower pelvic area). It also still hurts really bad to go to the bathroom. Wondering if anyone else has…

stomach pains
Hello every one, just wanted your opinion, started having pains in my stomach late friday, nausea and multible bowel movements. Saturday they eased up a little, some nausea not too bad, Sunday only a couple of times I felt it. Now I was thinking maybe a 24 or 48 hour bug or something like that, lots of people around me…

Itchy
Today I was walking around the mall and the bottoms of my feet started itching like crazy. The severity of it was so bad that I had to leave. They stopped itching so intensely when I got home, but it still happens on and off a little bit. It seems to help to get off my feet and elevate them a bit. Does anyone know why this…

Looks like the beast may be back. So upset!!
My CT from last week was clean. However, 4 lymph nodes lit up on the petscan. 3 in the chest area, and one near the thyroid. The NP said that they are too small to biopsy which is the only way to be 100% sure of cancer. She said she felt like the dr. would order a CT on chest area, as petscans show everything. She said…

Post IP Chemo
My wife is 28, and diagnosed with 2C Ovarian Cancer, possible stage 3. We never found out because the cancer diagnosis came post-hysterectomy (she's had low malignant serous tumor 3x so the 3rd time, we opted to just take everything out). She's been through 6 rounds of cisplatin and 5 rounds of taxol. During the chemo…

recurrence symptoms
I know many of you have had recurrences. I read in a pamphlet today that I need to be aware of the symptoms of recurrence. Can someone tell me what those are? The same creepy symptoms I had before diagnosis? It also said I should be aware of the debulking surgery, if it was optimal or suboptimal. Should that be in my…

genetic testing
I am wondering if anyone out there has had the genetic testing done. It's the BRCA1 test. If so, did you also get the BART test done? Is it really necessary? I had the BRCA1 test done, and was told that if it's a negative result it is a good idea to have the BART test done as well. Problem is that test is not covered under…

that stupid number
Is there like a rule of thumb for the CA-125? My first one before treatment one was 236, before second treatment 119, a drop of 117 points. I was encouraged, at least it was out of the two hundreds, and quite a big drop. Today it is 92, which is only a drop of 27 points. Is this discouraging? Or does the rate at which it…

Overcomers.....not Survivors
I love what a lady in the oncology waiting room told me..."We're not survivors, we're overcomers!" I don't know what all of you believe, but I believe the Bible is God's Word to us and this quote went right along with some verses I know to be true. I John 5:4 "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is…

Juicing and juicers
Hi Ladies, Do any of you juice? If so, what type of juicer do you have? Does anyone happen to own a Health Master or Ninja? I have seen bits and pieces of infomercials lately about these two products. From what I understand juicing is supposed to be extremely healthy. I'm willing to give a try. :) Thanks, Carla
