NYU Psilocybin Cancer Anxiety Study is Open
I went to the website for the study I'm hoping to get into and saw that they are looking for volunteers. From my phone screen with the study coordinator, I know it does not matter which stage you are in, or if you are still in treatment or not. Participation requires being in Manhattan several times a week over a period of…

Hi everyone, I just got back from getting my bloodwork done. My platelets are only 40 and wbc under 2 so no chemo on Friday. Don't know what my ca125 is at yet but hopefully the chemo was as hard on the cancer as it was on me. :-) Still fighting the good fight and enjoying the blessing of each day. The Lord is good, all…

2 Years NED, but wait for results was awful!
First, let me say a celebration is planned! I just had my 2 year check up yesterday, with blood work in the morning before the exam. No CT this time, as I had one in Jan. I've been having terrible gas and a few other GI symptoms, none specific to OVCA, but making me crazy anyway. The doctor and NP seemed to think things…

Does the dread of getting test results every get easier?
I had a CT Tuesday, petscan Thursday. I should get my results next Tuesday. It's been almost a year since my surgery. In December the dr. said I was in complete remission. Now for whatever reason, (I feel great, no apparent symptoms of recurrence), I'm really scared to get the results. Does this get easier with time? I…

Itchy
Today I was walking around the mall and the bottoms of my feet started itching like crazy. The severity of it was so bad that I had to leave. They stopped itching so intensely when I got home, but it still happens on and off a little bit. It seems to help to get off my feet and elevate them a bit. Does anyone know why this…

Looks like the beast may be back. So upset!!
My CT from last week was clean. However, 4 lymph nodes lit up on the petscan. 3 in the chest area, and one near the thyroid. The NP said that they are too small to biopsy which is the only way to be 100% sure of cancer. She said she felt like the dr. would order a CT on chest area, as petscans show everything. She said…
