Overcomers.....not Survivors

John 16.33 "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." I have had such peace going through this cancer episode in my life, and I believe it's because of my faith in a God that is a lot bigger than cancer! Surviving has the idea of barely hanging on...where overcoming lends itself to courage, strength, and hope. I love that! I hope each of you ladies who are struggling with this disease have this same faith....it's real and will make you an overcomer....not just a survivor!

I, too, have never felt I am
I, too, have never felt I am a surviver, but a fighter and an a over-comer! We "survive" EVERY day, with God we over-come whatever comes our way! I am a control freak and find it hard to "let go and let God", but I also know that "ALL things work to the good for those who love God"! Thanks for the reminder..keep the faith, yours in Christ, Debrajo -
THANK THE LORD FOR HIS GRACE!
'His Grace is sufficient for thee!' I agree with everything you have posted, Sara. Our Lord has brought me through so much, and continues to do so with each passing day. I am so blessed when I read other posts of how He has been the 'all in all' for so many of us. And I'm grateful we can share this Good News here on this site.
Luv, Hugs, and Prayers,
In Christ,

Thank you for your
Thank you for your responses. It's encouraging to me to hear from some other believers and to know you are trusting God to see you through your cancer journey. I don't know where I would be without Him. Lord, bless all these wonderful ladies that are struggling with cancer and give them strength of heart and body. Our flesh and our hearts fail us, but you are the strength of our heart and our portion forever. Amen! -
Can I just say amen
Thank you for reminding me who is in charge of my life. At times I find it so hard to deal with what my body is going through and that I have no control over what is happening to it but I know who hands my life is in and sometimes I just need a little reminder thanks for that today.
