A question from a newby to hardcore survivors: what supplies do you recommend for after surgery? Hystersisters.com is selling abdominal binders, panties, cooling pillows, creams, etc. Did you need bed sheet protectors, female urinal? Anything else you needed? I want to stock up now. If it's not sold at Home Depot, my…

Last year I had no problems with Taxol/Carbo. As I posted a few weeks ago, round 1 of taxol/cistplatin landed me in the hospital with bottomed out white counts and potassium, plus pneumonia. Dr. has said he is going to reduce my dosage by 20% this time (both drugs). Also, he's having me on 500 mg. antibiotic for 10 days…

Dirty Girl Mud Run
Today I am running (jogging or walking) a 5K called the dirty girl mud run. It was $75 to sign up but cancer survivors are free. The money goes to breast cancer research (again) but as far as I am concerned I am running this race for me, you, and everyone out there fighting this nasty disease. It is not your ordinary 5k.…

Recurrence with a normal ca-125?
Hello Ladies, Went to see my oncologist this morning for a regular check up. I told him about some pain I've been having for the past 2 weeks in my lower left pelvic area. CarolenK a.k.a. Laundry Queen
Exactly two years ago, to the day, Carolen had her debulking surgery. She wholeheartedly fought this disease with everything available to her. Four days after chemo I fainted in the bathroom and got a nice black eye. Can you picture a bald lady with a shiner...not a pretty site. I think it happened because I took a pain pill without eating. So be careful when taking one. I usually don't take one but sometimes it is needed. have any og you passed out...Val

Stand up to cancer
I just watched the program and boy it was hard to take. All the stories break your heart but the ones about children are torture to watch. These children show such heart and bravery. They have so much to teach us, all of us. There is also a lot of hope offered by people who have exceeded the time they were told they had,…

Please let me know what you think. I know this woman has lupus but I think you can all relate. My best friend and I were in…
