Hi Ladies
Well, the weekend did not go as planned.
I had the transfusions on Friday starting at 8am and was home around 7pm. I slept, woke and had some soup then back to sleep till 2pm Saturday! I am just wiped out.
Saturday evening I started having some serious chest pain. I didn't know if it was related to the transfusions or if I was having some sort of heart problem. We called the doc and he said to get to the ER right away. So I ended up getting every test including a CT angio scan and after that, they decided to keep me in the hospital since I still was in pain. My cardiac enzymes were okay so they don't know what was going on, The doc in the hosp. said that if I promise not to tough out the pain if it returns and get to the ER right away, then I could go home. So they finally let me go home. The chest pain is gone but I am a bit worried that it will return. I am praying it doesn't.
There is some other bad? news from all of this. The ct scan of my lungs showed that a stable nodual is now growing. This could mean that any of the cancers I have had could have gone to the lung, the most likely would be the thyroid, since I have already had mets with this cancer. Or it could be a new cancer or maybe the nodual will stop growing and we will just watch it. Most likey that won't happen since that was what we doing already. So now I need to get the lung issue resolved.
It feels like a never ending circle of dr visits and tests. I so need a break.
As of today, I still do not feel any new energy, just wiped out exhausted feeling. I am hopeful that the new blood will kick in soon and give me even a little new energy. I sure could use it now. I still am not driving and hate being housebound. I just never expected this to turn out the way it has. Gosh, cancer sure does bring alot of unexpected challenges.
Thank you all for your continued support and positive words. They mean so much to me. I wish I could give back to you all as much as you have given to me. Hopefully when my energy starts to return, I'll be able to post more. Right now it just is so tiring. But I do try and read the posts so that I can keep up with all of you.
Huge hugs to all
Lisha

I feel so terribly that you've endured so much. I am hoping and praying that things take a turn for the better really soon. You so deserve a break from the doctor appointments, tests and pain. Sending you big, big cyber hugs!
