Sorry Ladies

Stand up to cancer
I just watched the program and boy it was hard to take. All the stories break your heart but the ones about children are torture to watch. These children show such heart and bravery. They have so much to teach us, all of us. There is also a lot of hope offered by people who have exceeded the time they were told they had,…

Another positive step forward
Hi Ladies As you know, I have been having a few setbacks in my recovery. But also I feel like I am heading in the right direction even with the setbacks. I will be admitted into the hospital Mon or Tues for an over night (hopefully) stay to receive the blood transfusions. I see this as a positive step. I clearly need the…

Spoons
I thought this was fitting since I have heard over the years that some people truly don't get it. They think once you are done chemo that you are back to your old self. We all know that's not true. Please let me know what you think. I know this woman has lupus but I think you can all relate. My best friend and I were in…

My daughter-in-law
My name is Dianne and my 36 year old daughter-in-law Lisa was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (13 weeks premature) in May. It is a miracle that she conceived, and gave birth to this little girl. The pregnancy masked her symptoms.

Another loss
I hope you don't think I'm morbid or strange but I read our local paper's online obituaries once in a while. We live in a small city and know many people. I am sometimes surprised to see that someone we know has passed and we hadn't heard. Last Thursday as I was scrolling down the list I noticed a face that looked…

Do you have a pet? Want to tell us about them?
I "borrowed" this topic from "Susie09" on the breast cancer board. (Thanks, Susie09!) My hubby and I have a black and white (mostly black) cat, Mr. Kitty, who was a stray and "adopted" us about seven years ago. He's my baby and my hubby's buddy and he rules our household. We also provide food and water outside to about…

She had optimal debulking (CA125 was 271 before surgery and 46 after) and is now starting round 5 out of 6 with IP Taxol/Cisplatin. This support group has been wonderful for me to learn so much as we go on through this.…

Ladies, is this doable? Can I do it? Hope doctor thinks so
Hi Ladies, As I have written before I lost my husband (minister) to a heart attack April 17, 2010. May 18, 2011 I had surgery which confirmed OVCA stage 3c. I'm Home Ladies!!
After a 5 day hospital stay with pneumonia, I actually feel human again. My appetite is returning back to normal. Coughing quite a bit, the coughs are productive at least. No fever now for over 48 hours. I'm certain my dr. will be making some adjustments to the Cistplatin dosages. :) Carla
