Do you have a pet? Want to tell us about them?
I "borrowed" this topic from "Susie09" on the breast cancer board. (Thanks, Susie09!) My hubby and I have a black and white (mostly black) cat, Mr. Kitty, who was a stray and "adopted" us about seven years ago. He's my baby and my hubby's buddy and he rules our household. We also provide food and water outside to about…

My sweet mother was diagnosed with Stage IIIC Ovarian Cancer just before Mother's Day in 2012 at age 72. This support group has been wonderful for me to learn so much as we go on through this.…

I'm Home Ladies!!
After a 5 day hospital stay with pneumonia, I actually feel human again. My appetite is returning back to normal. Coughing quite a bit, the coughs are productive at least. No fever now for over 48 hours. I'm certain my dr. will be making some adjustments to the Cistplatin dosages. :) Carla

My Awareness Effort
I'm trying to do my part in awareness. I submitted a story about my relationship with my horse and how he helped me regain my health after treatment to a horse magazine I subscribe to. It includes some information about the disease and, if they include it, a web address to look up the symptoms. Well, they accepted my…

Scar removal products
Almost everyone on this board had initial debulking and possibly other surgeries. So I can safely assume everyone has surgical scars, new or old. In my obsessive preparation to my upcoming surgery, I have been researching scar removal products. I am planning to start using them as soon as the incision closes. Based on…

I was diagnosed with stage 2C. I'm about to go into Round 5, my CA 125 is down to 78 from 485 so chemo seems to be working. Since I'm nearing the end of treatment I was wondering what do they do to pronounce you cancer free? I'll try to remember to ask my Onc tomorrow but there are a lot of other questions I have for him,…

Low Magnesium... Anybody experience because of chemo
My magnesium is low and has been since like half way through treatments. My doc had me on slow mag which is a time released magnesium but that has not helped. Now she has me on a total of 1600 mg of magnesium a day. 2 in the morning and 2 at night. Low magnesium contributes to alot of joint and muscle pain. I gotta say…
