Opinion from Moms
I am NED after having had stage 3C ovarian cancer. Tomorrow is my 2 month anniversary of ending chemo. Now that my hair is growing back, I finally went out in public this week without a scarf or hat. This was a huge step and I was very proud of getting past my vanity and celebrating that I made it through. Everywhere I…

Repeating drugs? How many different drugs are there for OVCA?
Hi Ladies. I posted that my latest scans were not good, as lymph nodes in the abdominal increased not only in size, but now there are numerous more, including a mantle of them. I was stable for about ten months with Doxil. I am now on topotecan, 3 weeks on, one week off. I have had 3, and resume this upcoming Friday. Dr.…

Doxil
Today I had my 4th round of Doxil. My CA started out at 250 then went to 125 and today it was 118. Am quite happy we opted to do 2 more rounds then do a scan. Anything to avoid radiation.

5 year cancerversary!
I was dx 3c OVCA in April 2009 at age 30. I'm still here!! It's been awful at times, but I am thankful to still be alive! I really didn't think I would survive this long. I had a short 11 month remission in 2011. Then it came back. I will beat it again! Blessings to all of you -Natalie

Hi from the land of snow and ice
Hi Loves, Just wanted to "check in" with update. I've now done 4 years straight of chemo, with the last 29 months on cisplatin/gemzar. Is there an Olympic chemo event? If so, I'm going for the gold. The good news is that I remain stable and able to tolerate this chemo cocktail. (((((HUGS to all)))) Maria

hair loss on Doxil
Has anybody on Doxil had any hair loss. My Oncologist told me he didnt think that I would lose any hair with Doxil, but I am losing like strands. It is like when you brush your hair and you have loose strands that fall down. Its not coming out in clumps like it did with Taxol.

Scared but Still Here
Ok, I know it's been a long time since I've been active here...(that's good though, right?) But tonight, I've got some things that I have to unload. Please bear with me.
