Swollen fingers/hands
I wrapped up ABVD treatment (12!) in July. In August noticed that my fingers were swollen, and, when I exercise, both hands blow up like balloons. My doc says it's just a side effect and will diminish. Anyone else deal with this? How long did it take? Thanks. (P.S. Have first post-treatment CT next week. Keep your fingers…

just diagnosed
I never thought I would be placing a message in this forum, but then again nobody does. I was just diagnosed with HD on Monday, 9-22. I am still waiting to be Staged, but I know I am in a III or IV. I'll get the results on Monday. It was a VERY HARD week, but my chest is out and I am ready to fight, as all of you have. My…

Post treatment tiredness
My first time - be gentle with me ! A very sporting male, then aged 34, I was diagnosed as stage 2a HD in January 2001 and soon started 6 ABVD courses of chemo, followed by 5 weeks of radio in Sept. 2001. My Doctors told me in October 2001 that (thankfully) I was in remission. During the treatments, (unlike seemingly…

Emotional Roller Coaster Ride.......
I have had NHL low grade in the abdomen for 5 year with no growth. The last CT scan showed "something" in the left arm axillary. Oncologists sent me for an ultrasound to pinpoint and get a core biopsy. Well it didn't show on the ultrasound. So now in OCt. Radiologists can't agree on the positioning of the "something" lymph…

All of you gave me his mom, much strength, compassion and the ability to help my son keep fighting. However to our saddness he had a very agressive hodgkins, and on…

Stage 1V
Do not be discouraged about being diagnosed as a stage IV. My husband was diagnosed as a stage IV in March of 2001. Since that time, he underwent 6 cycles of ABVD, radiation to his spine and an autologous bone marrow transplant in January of 2002. It's been a long road, but now he is doing wonderfully. He is back to work…

LPDD vs. TCRBCL
I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with either Lymphocyte Predominance Hodgkin's Disease OR with a T-Cell Rich B-Cell (Non-Hodgkin's) lymphoma. Apparently, this is a rare combination. I was treated with 6 cycles of CHOP under the theory that the more aggressive form was the one to treat.. CT scans every 90 days since the…

Chemo effects/detoxifying???
I'm 1/2 way through my chemo-CHOP- and it's every 3 weeks. I find it increasingly difficult to deal with, possibly psychologically more than physically, but physically I feel awful for increasingly longer periods. Is there anything I can eat/ drink/do that will help alleviate some of the misery? Thanks!
