Trying Palmitoylethanolamide/ PeaPure for Pain Management
Team, I have had chronic back pain since my nephrectomey, IVC thombectomy, and lymph resection in 2009, and it gets worse as time passes. My back is stiff in the mornings, and after I have been seated or lying down for long periods of time. At its worst, the pain radiates to my hips. I have intentionally avoided both…

Appointment Update
Hi all. So, I met with the Urologic Cancer doc yesterday and he said the same thing as everyone else that once the tumor is removed, I should be cancer free. The tumor looks very contained to just the kidney. That was good news. We will be scheduling surgery sometime in October. The surgery type is still going to be an…

Allergic Reaction to CT Scan w/ Contrast

After the scan in September…

IL2 for chromophobe?
Has anyone been diagnosed with chromophobe RCC and had success with IL2? My pathology is not very clear--I've had three different pathologist look at my primary tumor and recieved three different conclusions (unidentified, clear cell, and now chromophobe). I was planning on doing IL2, but if the chromophobe diagnosis is…

Does the nonchronological order of the posts bother anyone besides me?
I wonder if I am alone in finding it annoying that the most recent post is not always at the end of the thread. Is there something I am not aware of? Is there a setting for the format? If others feel the same way I do, does this site take suggestions for improvement? Have a great day. Annie

What to look for
In Feb 2013, I had my right kidney and a large tumor removed. For the first year thereafter, I participated in a clinical trial which required follow up exams with my oncologist every 6 weeks and a CT scan every 4 months. With the conclusion of the test trial, I am on a cycle of 3-month visits to the oncologist and CT…

Von Hippel Lindau
Back in October I underwent testing for VHL as recommended by a genetics counselor since both my father and I had RCC in our 40's. It took me longer than imagined to fill the little vial up with saliva as bubbles do not count. Anyway, I am happy to report that I tested negative for the disease. I have taken the time to…
