It seems after brain surgery seizure meds are a must, but I can assure you those meds are worse than the surgery! It made me…

Chromophobe and others: Study clarifies best treatments for uncommon kidney cancers
A head-to-head comparison of two biologic therapies used to treat a subset of patients with advanced kidney cancers provides much-needed clarity on the preferred treatment for the first line of attack. "We have had very little evidence to guide clinical decision-making and drug choice for patients with non-clear cell renal…

I am a 7 year kidney cancer survivor, I had a 3.2 cm mass discovered during a kidney stone attack in my right kidney. I went to 3 different surgeons to get opinions before surgery and decided to go with a surgeon that favored DaVinci Robot. My surgery went downhill afer the robot cut the artery instead of secururing it and…

I'm 54 years old, mother of 3 adult children and Nana to 3 amazing little grandsons. Last October I felt like I was having an appenticitis so went to ER. Had CT. beginning of journey with loved one, need some support
Hi all. My partner (healthy 36 y/o white male) was having gross hematuria (large amount of blood in urine) one week ago with no pain or any other symptoms. I took him to the ER where a CT showed a mass on his kidney. His blood work/ labs were normal. He saw a urologist this past Tuesday and the urologist said he was…

Received news last month. Looking for input...
Hi to everyone!! I am 49 years old. I was sent for an ultrasound nov. 2013 to rule out gallbladder attack. It was ruled out. A spot was found on lower lobe right kidney but nothing of concern at that time. In March, I woke very sick one day (thought food poisoning) with some abdominal pain. Sent for another ultrasound…

Thank You for All the Support
Hi Everyone, Thank you for all the support you showed me the day I wrote in stating they had found a mass on my kidney. As Footstomper said, once you start dealing with your doctors it will be less scary. For a bit, I could not read this site as I was so overwhelmed. Last week, I finally met with my…

Sutent and Clinical Trial Update
It has been a long time since I last posted. I had decided that after all of the issues I had with my clinical trial:7 hospital stays, loss of my thyroid, rod in arm due to bone cancer, and the loss of my adrenal glands that I would hold off with the bad news and wait till I had something positive to write about. Well that…

GOOD NEWS: NED
I remain NED, but this time with a caveat. I do have something growing -- a few items, but it might be an artifact of changing from MRI to CT, said the Dr. One lymph node has grown over a year from .8 to 1.1 cm; Dr says we won't worry about it until it is bigger, as there are many reasons why it can be 1.1 cm...at 1.5 cm,…
