Port/BP/Blood draw questions, need second opinions
When I first got my port installed, the surgeon told me not got let them take my blood pressure, or draw blood from the arm on the side where my port is (my left side). I know that blood can be drawn from the port itself, but I don't go to the infusion center to get my blood drawn, because it is too far, so they take it…

Funky Feet with Xeloda...
I have been experiencing some weird sensation in both of my feet….During the first 8 rounds of Folfox (oxi and 5-FU) – I did not have any feet issues..no numbing, cracking, or the other known side effects with this cocktail… My team decided to do the radiation in-between the FolFox – so I got a nice 3 week treatment…

Has anyone read this yet? I have seen it in the book store, but I feel conflicted about whether I really want to read it, since I have already lived it, and I know way more about it then I ever hoped to. Thoughts?

The Reading Room: "Treat the Patient, Not the CT Scan"
For those who might be interested, this thoughtful piece ran in today's NY Times. I certainly know that there were many times during my husband's treatment when we desperately could have used some of the words of comfort Abraham Verghese advocates in this piece. Hatshepsut Treat the Patient, Not the CT Scan

I had MRI on Thursday. When I was diagnosed with colon cancer on 1/8, they did a CT scan and said that I had an undefined mass on the left lobe of my liver and a spot on my right lobe. When the surgeon removed my tumor on 1/14 he said he got a good look at the liver and the mass on the left lobe appeared to be something…
