are so inspiring + some are tough. My book club has chosen "Tuesdays with Morrie" as the book for April. I read it it years ago + found it a great book but I don't think I am up to discussing it with 14 people at the bookclub.0 -
I do not blame you. ThereAnneCan said:Some of these

I do not blame you. There have been some great cancer books I have read, such as It's Not About The Bike, by Lance Armstrong and the Crazy Sexy Cancer books. But it is another thing to discuss them in a group of people, they may not have experienced what we have and how deep those feelings can run. Plus mostly I want my books to be about escape.0 -
I read this book and found it very intresting. It talked alot about the history of cancer and cancer research. It was very intresting to me. It is not really one of those uplifting type books. But i did learn alot about how chemotherapy was developed and how difficult finding treatments are. I liked the book, christinecarl said:I do not blame you. There

my good friend whose wife has breast cancer read it.....he was glowing with praise for it. He offered it to me but i do not know if I am ready yet to be so absorbed in reading about what we live with every day.
I saw him too Phil and really like the author

Check it out
I put an on-line hold for this book on the public library's web site and ended up with the audio book (operator error on my part) - 16 CDs. It took quite a while to listen to the whole book. The history of the treatment of cancer is fascinating, but some of the book went into too much detail for me. I would recommend checking this out at the library rather than buying it.0
