dodged a 3rd bullet?
One of the bizarre aspects of this disease has been that my wife's initial prognosis seems to keep getting worse and worse while her status gets better and better. She has healed from her two surgeries fast, and unusually well according to the radiologist. The mesenteric invasion area remains clear and has not produced the…

I posted this some time ago, but we have some new caregivers on the board, and some of them are struggling, so I thought it might be a good time to reprise it: You were there when we discovered we were ill, and you shared our shock and pain You were with us in the hospital, worrying while we slept You stood by us when our…

A great time in Europe. Afterward, not so much fun...
Hey gang! The family and I had a wonderful time in Europe. We saw a lot of great things, ate a lot of great food, drank a lot of great wine and had a lot of great conversations. I felt pretty good and did a ton of walking. I took some naps and skipped a long day of walking in Versailles and what I though would be a long…

Excerpts from Chapter XIII....
I had posted this to Winter's thread in response to her's. I second guessed myself after posting, thinking I had said too much on her thread. Before I could edit, that option had been removed. I thought since it was out there, I'd just go ahead and share it with the group. Comment if you would like too. I have been "knee…

RFA Time - # 4
It seems to be a yearly event for me, and I'm fine with it. The past 3 years I've had RFAs done to remove small tumors in my lung(s) that grow at a slow pace thanks to Erbitux (it seems). When I had my last (3rd) one done in August of 2010, there was a questionable spot that measured about 1.3cm that wasn't addressed at…
