Still in hospital
Had to go to the ER on Saturday morning because I couldn't pee and I was in so much pain. My blatter was hard as a rock and I could hardly walk. I was also so tired it took all my energy to just get out of bed. Anyway my wife said wewere going to ER and I knew that was the right move even though I dread it. This time the…

Husband's surgery tomorrow
My husband goes in to have the rectal tumor removed tomorrow. He is not thrilled about this since he's been feeling so well lately and is afraid that this is going to knock him down and out for awhile. He's been working since his diagnosis in August, with the exception of every other Friday on treatment days. The surgeon's…

Hard choices
Well, after 8 months of non stop beating up I have decided to stop treatment. With the horrific weight loss I've suffered and unable to regain any of it, I just want to live out my life without the side effects of chemo. What really had boosted my strength in just the past few days is my lady friend Marie has some for a…

Luvnlife2: Please post your diagnosis and alternative treatment success. Sounds positive.
From what you indicated on another post, it sounds as if you have had positive results utilizing alternative therapies -- but, because your profile page has not been filled out and the site does not give an easy way to reference past posts that members have contributed to -- I know very little about your original diagnosis…

Is Gleevec suitable for me as a prophylactic?
I had a polyptetomy done for cancer in the sigmoid (large intestine). The polytectomy was sucessful and a followup CT scan showed no spread of the cancer i.e. liver, lungs etc were all clear. A full blood scan showed perfect results. Can I take Gleevec as a prophylactic ? Would appreciate any advice. TIA.

Colostomy post-op nightmares
