Coming home....and ostomy questions
Hubby is being released today. I'm so tired of the back and forth to the hospital and toting the kids around, so in some ways it will be easier, but with all of the running I haven't given much thought to how things will be at home. We have lots of stairs - I think he's planning on spending the days downstairs on the…

Spam email
I know this doesn't have anything to do with cancer, but I just joined this board this week and I've received 2 spam emails in the CSN email with those scammers asking you to put money into a foreign bank account. I know it's just junk mail, but how can I stop it or can CSN prevent it somehow? It seems they are below the…

Costs of Conventional vs. Alternative Therapies
-- Cynthia This seems a useful discussion ... I'll start .... my only experience is that of having standard medical insurance through my husband's employer when he was diagnosed. As in most standard U.S. policies (I think) there is a max out-of-pocket expense. In our case it was $3000 annually, thus after we paid the…

CAM: Ritalin for Cancer-Induced Fatigue
Don't know if this technically fits well in the CAM: Complementary and Alternative Therapy title ... I know that there have been a few here that have been prescribed Ritalin as it relates to their cancer. Seems as a psychostimulant it may be effective at inducing a short-term improvement in energy level and psychomotor…

I forgot to ask this in my last post. Jason as been experiencing problems with is eyesight lately. He says it just "goes black" for a few seconds. If You Hear Maniacal Laughter From The Southwest
That will be me. As hubby grew progressively weaker last night, I had to call our son to come back & get him from the chair to the commode. His whole body was becoming more & more swollen.
