Surgical glue/Dermabond on your incisions?
Hello, all - I had a bilateral mastectomy 3 weeks ago, and my surgeon used surgical glue (also called Dermabond) over the incisions. He understands and respects my decision not to have any reconstruction, so he used this method instead of sutures in order to give me the best cosmetic result. He was very clear that it's not…

I would NEVER have done Chemo, if I knew back then what I know now
I truly believe that Chemo did me more harm than good, with all the Chemo-brain, balance, confusion, neuropathy, lymphodema and all the other side effect problems. Plus IT CAME BACK! Stage 4 exactly 5 years and 4 months after initial dx. I honestly feel that my quality of life would have been so much better without…

Trying to Find a Good Internist
Yesterday, for the second time in two years, a good internist that I waited for a month to see, rejected me as a patient! They do a song and dance, but I know what their issue is. Seems like docs do not want sick, compicated patients. Anyone been through this? My medical history goes back to birth and was more complicated…

Newly Diganosed
I was diagnosed a few weeks ago. I found a lump in the axillary Tail of Spence tissue. A number of people said "most lumps are nothing, maybe you should wait and see if it goes away". Obviously, glad I did not take that advice. Biopsy came back cancer. I don't know anything more yet because due to the location a larger…

Lung mets? Symptoms?
My tumor markers are up again. Doc was worried last week before we even got labs back so he scheduled a CT. I was thinking about what we talked about that got him wanting a scan. The main things were shortness of breath, getting windy easily (I about passed out going up a flight of stairs. sounded like I ran a marathon),…

Medicare and Vitamin D Tests
I had a Vitamin D test last year and Medicare refused to pay for it. I was told by the billing and coding department that Medicare never pays for it. I called Medicare and was told, yes, Medicare can pay for it. I asked about how the clinic should bill it and code and Medicare would not tell me. Because of the bad service…
