Swollen Feet
Did anyone have terrible swelling in their feet while on chemo? My feet and ankles have been so swollen for the last month that I can only wear sandles. I sent a message to my oncologist about it but haven't heard a response. I thought drinking a lot of water would help - but it really isn't helping that much. Last night,…

The chopping block
Hey everyone...I cut my hair today! I have always had VERY long straight hair and decided to cut it above my collar before it started falling out. I thought it would be hard but nope....I love it. I just may have a new style when it grows back. Just a step closer to losing my hair...I hope this makes it easier.

help newbie w/diagnosis
I was diagnosed in June and just had a lumpectomy Sept.4. My doctor said I was stage 2b but from what I read I don't understand why, tumor was 1.5 cm, they took 10 lymph nodes and 3 were bad, I am Her2 positive though. And what is grade? I read the pathology report and it just confuses me more. Can't wait for oncologist…

Johnny (age 8) comes into the house for dinner after playing outside all afternoon. His parents ask him what he did today. His parents think this is cute, and they don't want to make fun of Johnny…

Anyone else considering stopping AI Therapy?
I'm going to be starting my third aromatase inhibitor, Femara, in one month. I've been on Arimidex, Aromasin and back on Arimidex. The side effects for me have been so debilating that if I don't tolerate the Femara, I'm considering going off of hormone therapy completely. I know this is drastic as I'm increasing my risks…

Does Chemo Cause Discolored Teeth?
I was just looking at my photo in my expressions. It was the day before I started chemo. I noticed my teeth are not as white as they were then. I have been using Tom's toothpaste. Before I started chemo I always used Colgate Total but it burns so I switched. Does anyone know if the chemo caused this or if the toothpaste…

lumpectomy with radiation
I read in the book my doctor gave me that radiation is typically 5 days a week for 6 to 7 weeks. "I think" I recall my doctor saying it will be once per week following recovery from my lumpectomy. I will call him tomorrow for clarity, but I am scared of this.

I wish you all could have been on the Island with me~
I was gone for a few days, camping and enjoying a yearly reunion with 200 friends/family/Tribal members. As some of you know, Reggie and his fellow Native paddlers were honoring their ancestors and the way of life of their Tribe with the annual ocean voyage to the Island that is their original homeland. We were blessed…

radiation question
What happens if you get the flu or some other illness in the middle of radiation treatments? Is it okay to interrupt them for a while? An elderly couple in a senior's rec room
An elderly couple in a senior's home used to visit the recreation room everyday. While there, the old lady would sit quite contently holding the old guys's penis. One day she goes down to the rec. room and is mortified to find her man with another women holding his penis. "What's she got that I don't have?" she says. He…
