About Neulasta....
I have to say that I am truly blessed to have an oncologist who has been through breast cancer and all the "crap" that goes along with it. She firmly believes that you should allow your body to build the blood cells back up on their own if possible. I have never had to take a neulasta shot through the whole A/c and taxol…

First time user, question about Tram or Diep Reconstruction
Hi, I've been reading this site for about 1 1/2 years but have never written. I went through a mastectomy followed by chemo, radiation and a year of herceptin. I read what many of you have written on these topics throughout my treatments and they did help, I just couldn't get myself to write. I guess it makes it all more…

Femara or the Canadian generic?
My oncologist wants me to take the Femara. She gave me two months of samples. Now I have learned the price is close to $400 a month. But the generic from Canada is $0.88 per pill. I called my pharmacist and he says there is no way to know if the generic from Canada is the real drug. Do any of you know of a reputable…

A Few Monday Ha Ha's For You
Step Back, I Know First-Aid When a car skidded on wet pavement and struck a telephone pole, several bystanders ran over to help the driver. A woman was the first to reach the victim, but a man rushed in and pushed her aside. "Step aside, lady," he barked. "I've taken a course in first-aid!" The woman watched for a few…

Has Anyone Experienced This? What Helped?
Hi - In 2008 I had a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and rads. I began Arimidex in October, '08. In early falll of '08, at the end of rads, I began to experience free floating anxiety. It worsened by November, and I ended up in our community hospital for a few days to stabilize. Following the hospital stay, I began seeing a…

Experience with starting/stopping/restarting Arimidex?
Had 1st mtg with Med Onc - waiting for oncotype dx test results -- which the lab screwed up & so now have to wait 2 more weeks. Lumpectomy surgery was 12/2 -- no rad or chemo treatments have yet begun. Med Onc suggests starting arimidex -- stopping it if test results come in & we decide chemo in 2 weeks. When chemo regimen…
