What kind of BC does she have? What stage? Did she have lumpectomy or mastectomy? You have to trust her medical team. This site has wonderful information on it for you to look up.
thanks for the quick response. She had lumpectomy and for the stage/type of BC l do not know for now.We trust her medical team but hey its Nigeria, west africa you never can trust the team 100% that is why we are asking questions from people like you on this site.By so doing we know if they are doing the right thing like in western world or not. -

Oh, I'm in the United States and here's what I have and treatment:
Stage 1C, Grade 3, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, with no lymph nodes involved. Positive for Estrogen, Progesterone and HER2. This is called Triple +. I had 4 treatments of Adriamycin with Cytoxan (A/C) and suppose to have 4 treatments of Taxol. I had a bad reaction to taxol so I stopped after only 1. After chemo I had 35 radiation treatments--every day Monday - Friday. Now I'm on Herceptin--this will disable the HER2--every 3 weeks for 1 year. I also have to have Tamoxefin for 5 years to disable the estrogen and progesterone.
Everyone is different so your girlfriend's treatment may be different. Once you get the type of cancer she has go on this site for a booklet called "Breast Cancer Treatment Guidelines for Patients". It has all the different kinds of breast cancer and treatment for them.
Good luck with her treatments.
