Taxotere & Ice?
Today during my treatment, the nurse came over & asked me if I wanted to hold a large ice-pack? She said that they are doing a study. Some say it has helped them with the tingling in their fingers & their nails. I thought it sounded crazy, but hey, if it works....I'm all for it. I never had trouble with my nails…

Does the lack of estrogen affect the brain?
I have been on Femara for almost a year now and I've noticed some cognitive problems and SEVERE insomnia. I found some research on the effects of estrogen on the brain: it affects the serotonin receptors and there are indication that it helps with memory. I watched my father die of early onset Alzheimer's (he was one of…

I went to Sally's beauty supply store yesterday, and discovered they were having a…

It's official - I'm a Klutz!
As I headed upstairs to the bathroom yesterday to slather some more lotion on my irradiated boob, I tripped over my own two feet and, since my hands were in my pockets (not too bright), I landed with the edge of one stair right on my boob (yes, the affected one)! OUCH!!! I don't think I did any real damage, and it doesn't…
