Question
Ladies I have a question. I just fininshed having my expanders filled for the last time. Exchange surgery is scheduled for Oct. 29. Do the implants feel more normal? These expanders are hard as rocks and seem to be to close to my underarms. I'm just hoping the implants are better. Thanks for any input. Janie

Still feeling out of sync
Hello. I am 14 most post-mastectomy and 10 months post-implants. I am taking Tamoxifen and have been for the 1 year. I still have feelings of indifference about most things. It is like nothing is really all that important. I don't think I've found my "new normal" yet but am definitely not happy about having to find this…

Breast Cancer Board So Much Better, and User Friendly
I have posted three or four times on the Brain Cancer site on CSN, and have yet to have anyone anser my question. I wonder if they are just too sick to take time to be on this Board, or if they are just not as friendly as our b/c Board Members. Nonetheless, I have questions, and will have to find another outlet. Anyone…

My surgeon got clean margins!!!
Hi everybody, I just came back from seeing my surgeon and he was successful in the operating room, I got clean margins with my lumpectomy and 0/4 lymph nodes, they were all negative. He said I was a stage 1, but I didn't hear him mention anything about the "grade" and I didn't think to ask. I will still do the radiation in…

Fear of discrimination
It has been over a year now since my battle with cancer began and I'm doing great. I'm cancer free and moving on with my life. I started a new job a couple of weeks ago and no one at my new job knows about the cancer. I silently sit while they talk about others in the organization who have suffered through treatment. I…

Seeing the Light to the Implants
I have finally set a date to do my exchange surgery. On October 13th, although I dread the surgery (will be 4th one since March), I cannot wait to get these hard, softball expanders out. They did my overexpansion which was very painful. I have tried every way there is to sleep and I still feel like someone has dropped a…

Losing My Mind
I am awaiting my Surgery date of October 8th. (bilateral mastectomy) I think I am losing my mind though. Survivor Guilt
Interesting article in Cure Today on "Getting Through Survivor Guilt": http://www.curetoday.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/article.show/id/2/article_id/1541 Many of the reactions described reminded me of some of the attitudes that I have dealt with from those who have never had cancer. Maybe there is also a Cancerless Guilt?
