Ended up in the emergency room and came home with a cathetor.
As I have been having so much trouble peeing. Not a UTI, I'm supposed to see my onc tomorrow, so I guess I'll probably have more tests. I can barely walk with BOTH legs now numb. I fell yesterday 3 times. Today I've got the walker. It seems like every time something good happens it's followed by something bad.

chemo induced menopause and hormone therapy
Okay, so the type of hormone therapy you take depends a lot on whether you are pre or post menopause. I was not at all in menopause before all this started, but now haven't had a period since July and definetly have menopause symptoms. So do I could as pre menopause or post? Seems like my onc is considering me pre since…

Not really bc related but I made a decision to rejoin Weight Watchers
Now that I've finished chemo I felt I needed to do something about my weight gain. I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers. I've been a member on and off for many years and became Lifetime 14 years ago. I weighed 118 lbs in 1996 and stayed at that weight for 2 years. Menopause was not kind to me and I gained 80 lbs. Over the…

Taxol Related Neuropathy
Hi, Everybody! I was wondering if anyone out there has experienced severe neuropathy after Taxol treatments and how long was it before it subsided? I have read up on it through the internet...there doesn't seem to be any help for it except pain management. I have been prescribed Neurontin which doesn't help a whole lot.…

More tests for Moopy, but so far so good. =/
Hi, all! Moopy and I went in Friday morning for what we thought would be a more or less routine follow up with our oncologist, Dr. Nair. But Moopy's liver enzymes were still going up, and her platelets were going down, so he had Moopy admitted to the oncology ward. It sounded really awful at first - but in fact he knew…

Prayers for Rep. Giffords (D - AZ)
I do realize this has nothing to do with BC but a short time ago Representative Gifford has been shot along with several others at a Rally. The latest I heard is saying that she is currently in surgery for brain trauma. Prayers for her, the others injured and all their family/friends. Prayers! Susan

Femera coupon
I just finished my first month of Femera, and knock on wood, so far so good. A little sore & achy here and there (nothing unbearable). I could also attribute that to not exercising on a regular basis (starting back up next week). When I first had it filled, the pharmacist asked me if I was aware of the high co-pay. I told…

Today she had a follow up appt after her LAST chemo treatment 2 weeks…

All of these conflicting reports have me going crazy!!! Back in August when I was first diagnosed the pathology report came back ER+, Her2+, then they read the report at the second hospital and their path drs said the Her2+ was debatable and recommended the FISH test at surgery which came back negative. UPDATE*Off subject...if you can spare a prayer for my mom....*UPDATE
...she was hospitalized yesterday evening for pneumonia ('the old man's friend'), dehydration, a UTI, and a general confusion behavior(more than likely from the other stuff). Naturally, I am over 5500 miles away, so all of my conversations start with 'so, what time is it there?'. And yesterday was the day that I got the…

I Could use your thoughts on this
Today was my first post treatment 3 month visit with my Onc. I love him, he's very thorough. However, in the past year I have had more tests than I had ever cared to or even thought was necessary, had to suffer major anxiety over the possible results of them all, and so far, all have been clear. (TG) Well, now he wants me…
