Those darn Dutch are sooooo smart.....
"If by breast exam, abnormalities are found but subsequently found to be false, women will suffer from fear, which affects their quality of life negatively for a year. In women which breast cancer has been diagnosed, their uncertainty last much less long. This came from a research project of the university and hospitals in…

Off subject...mom update....'guardedly' good news...
My mom is still in ICU, but she is off the ventilator, and her white cell count is going down...my sister said she seems to respond more to stimulation... Upon further investigation, the doctors think she had a small stroke, affecting her left side. Again,it's a bit of 'wait and see' as to how much permanent damage she is…

Meena and Moopy
My heart goes out to both of you. I've been off line the past few days and the first topic when I just got on was "bad news". Then I scrolled and saw Meena's post. Knowing what fighters you both are, I know that you will continue to fight and will carry on with courage and mental toughness. We will be your cheerleaders. My…

I'm a little stressed tonight
I am going in tomorrow for my first mammogram after treatment. It has been 6 months. I am pretty sure it will come out clear but still have that doubt in my mind. At all of my dr. visits I was told I was doing fine and shouldn't worry but I can't help it. I know you will all be there with me for support. Hugs, Georgia

Pathology report - Not good news, not bad news, just news...
Just went for my pre-op visit today and discussed my pathology report with my surgeon. She said that all went well, removed 22 lymph nodes (only 3 were positive) and that chemo was very affective at shrinkng my tumor down to .4 cm before removal. The part that had me somewhat worried was that there were some DCIS cells…

I have had a bad cough for about 4 weeks now. Its really running me down besides were moving and I need to pack and stuff. I saw the doctor 2 weeks ago and he did an X Ray and lung are good. Chemo pills??
Has anyone heard of or used the chemo pills? What about side effects? Hair loss?

Ended up in the emergency room and came home with a cathetor.
As I have been having so much trouble peeing. Not a UTI, I'm supposed to see my onc tomorrow, so I guess I'll probably have more tests. I can barely walk with BOTH legs now numb. I fell yesterday 3 times. Today I've got the walker. It seems like every time something good happens it's followed by something bad.
