Anyone have TAC all at once?
So far I hear many have had TAC but did the AC and then the T. I had all three at once every three weeks for a total of 6 treatments. I am just curious if anyone else had all three infused at the same time.

First chemo was so hard -does it get easier?
I had my first chemo a little over a week ago and I still don't feel 100% right. I'm having TAC and started with the A/C followed by a Neulasta shot the following day. I had alot of pain, fatigue and indigestion. It was hard to eat or drink. I've got my next treatment on Thursday - I'm having them every other week. Is the…

Hey Guys! I haven't posted in a long time. I come back and just check up on everyone every once in a while. I try to move on with my life after cancer but it seems like it is so hard. I am a very different person now. Everyone thinks I should just be happy and that everything is over. They don't understand how every ache…

Anyone participating in the 26.2 with Donna this weekend?
This is probably a long shot but I was wondering if any of you are participating in the marathon this weekend in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This particular marathon was started by Donna Deegan who is a 3x breast cancer survivor and also a local news anchor. 4 years ago she started this marathon. Her goal is to "Finish" breast…

New to all of this
Hi Ladies I've been a "silent stalker" LOL on here. Your posts have been really helpful for some of the questions I've had. I'm a 35 year old mother of 3 who was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in Nov 10 with 4/15 nodes positive and I'm triple positive (BRCA-). Still don't know what all that means exactly. I've already had…

Infusion Port Removal - In Office
Just wanted to share my recent experience regarding the removal of my infusion port. Initially, when the port was inserted, I was promised it would be removed in the same fashion that it was inserted - in the operating room with me being out. A year and some months later my surgical oncologist decided he would remove the…

This place is…

MamaG I've been off the boards
I've been off the boards for quite awhile and was saddened to read about MamaG. She, along with so many others welcomed me, answered questions and was such a gift to us all with her sprit. But her spirt will live on in all of us. I've been off the boards not because I am doing well but because I have been overwhelmed with…

Prayers for my friend
Good morning to all of my Sisters in Pink, I'm asking for all of you to please pray for my friend. She had her first mammogram last Monday. They called her back in for a diagnostic mammogram which she had on Thursday. The radiologist told her that they found a "spot" in the gray area. They will do a biopsy on the 17th. She…

Herceptin and Port
I've been having Herceptin treatments for almost 10 months, but my last echo cardiogram showed that my EF (ejection fraction number) had dropped below 50 ... so they have stopped the treatments for a couple of months to allow the number to go back up. My concern is with my port.... if it isn't accessed for 2 or more…

Allergic to Tamoxifen
Hi, I developed a severe itch after a week on the Tamoxifen. Benadryl and Zertec didn't help. Finally my onc told me to stop and she sent me to the Derm. Now I am starting today with the Tamoxifen, Prednisone and Doxepin. Has anyone had this situation. The itching was really bad. I have the scars to prove it. The Onc said…

Take your wife to ER/UC and get fired.
Well as I have said - I had a colonoscopy last Friday morn. Hubby took me up for it (had to have a driver sign before I got knocked out). Thursday and Friday are his normal days off. "Things" didn't go as expected (nothing nasty found) and I was in very bad pain from it (hurt as bad as my C-sections did or worse -…

Help! the DEXAmethasone really breaks out my skin!
Does anyone have experience with the acne like rash that the steroid DEXAmethasone gives some people. I started breaking out the second day after my first chemo and it is still breaking out 9 days later. I showed the nurse and basically she said I just would have to deal with it. She kept telling me to take benedryl if it…

I hope her family knows how much we all loved Mama G and how all of the pink sisters have been praying for her here. Maybe it will give them some comfort and peace knowing how much she meant to us.
