Prosthesis fitting tomorrow
My fitting is tomorrow afternoon. My skin is still pretty tender from rads, so I'm a little concerned about that. I'm bringing my BFF who will be honest in her opinion, and a few blouses. Is there anything else I should be thinking about? Hugs, Linda

Femara - How Are You Doing With it?
First I was on Arimidex for 7 months. Then I was off of it for 2 months. Started generic known as Anastrozole in January 2011. Now, April 5, 2011, I am going on Femara. I concentrated on reading all postings relating to Arimidex, so I don't know much about Femara. If you are taking Femara, how are you doing with it? Hugs,…

Is anybody able to lose weight while on Tamoxifen?
Hi all, I am starting Tamoxifen tomorrow and I am really worried about the weight gain issue. Over the past 3 years, prior to BC diagnosis, I lost 90 lbs and was only about 20 lbs away from my goal weight. I worked out every day, doing about 50-60 mins of cardio and 3 days of strength training. Since I started treatment…

just finished the MRI
Now I have a pet scan on the 13th and don't get the results until the 20th. Usually I am so anxious for the results, but this time I don't know if I even want to know, especially the pet scan. I am so hopeful that the radiation and 9 rounds of chemo is working..... but there is that part of me that says if it is working,…

Too Much Estrogen
Boy am I bummed. Just came from Oncologist's office. I'm starting rads next Monday, but Onc tells me from the blood tests I just had drawn that my estrogen levels are way too high. It's not because of my ovaries, because I had a total hysterectomy 12 yrs. ago. It's not from my adrenal glands. It's coming from FAT. I am an…

The Kindred Spirits STRIKE AGAIN!
So, I'm finally home on the Friday afternoon of an awe-inspiringly awful week - one I got through basically because I knew there were people all over the place thinking about me and praying for me, but even so, really awful. I feed the poor, starving, maltreated beasts and take them out the front door for the mandatory…

Odd question for those of you on Tamoxifen
Okay, I keep thinking I'm imagining this, but I've finally decided I'm not....
