In the dark without a flashlight
Here I am, for the first time on a messsage board. Lately, my emotional state has taken a beating. It was suggested to me to try this site. Another first is me admitting I can't do this alone. Talking with friends and family is all well and good, but I want to talk to someone who has been there. This roller coaster ride…

Chemo question
Just wondering if anyone knows how long after a chemo infusion is given cancer cells start to die? Is it during the first week when the medicine is in your body or is it the second week when the white cells also go low? Can you feel the change from first cycle or is it only after a few cycles that cancer recedes?

Genetic tests reveals 2 therapies
Hi all, I'm wondering if we can continue the discussion about targeted therapies. Last night, at 10:30 pm no less, my saint of a doctor emailed me the results of the OmniSeq testing I had done on Aug 12th from her phone - she had just gotten it in her email. It revealed 2 therapies. The first, and the one she thinks is…

Daylady...Update....
So...good news (I think...). Met with my gyn-surgeon, who is incredible (amazing!) and has kept me in her practice so she is also now my ob-gyn as well as my surgeon. I completely LOVE this woman. She knew immediately I was shaken by the most recent CT/PET Scans, and told me that while I could go ahead and try Topotecan…

What doctor do I talk to?
I am 8 weeks done with chemotherapy. Since around 2 weeks ago, I have been breaking out in hives. They haven't been itchy, until recently, last week they started to itch like crazy. They are all over my body. I think they are related to the chemotherapy. Do I contact my regular doctor, or my oncologist?
