in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1

Is Cervix Cancer considered Uterine Cancer ?

I was diagnoise with Stage 3 Cerix Cancer and finished treatments just over 2 months ago. Pet Scan scheduled Oct 21st.

I am pretty much stress about that upcoming scan since than I'll know whether or not the 7 weeks(5 days a week) of Radiation and 6 weeks of chemo (Once a week)..(5 internal radiation as part of the 35 radiations) worked or not.

Just want to know if i'm on the right board for cervix cancer. (did not see a separate area for that).

    Emma,

    There is a board titled: Gynecological Cancers other than Ovarian and Uterine Cancer may be the discussion board that will provide you more information.  I did a quick look and there are some threads on cervical cancer there.

    I hope you find answers that will help you cope while waiting for your scan and results. We all seem to hate the waiting part of our cancer journey the most.

    Emma, Cervical Cancer is

    Emma, Cervical Cancer is considered "Other" on these boards, however when I found my friend had it I wanted to find a more active site.  I came across the National Cervical Cancer Coalition which has some insprirational women!  You would need to register like you did for this board but you might find it useful:
