Introduction
I've been posting enough since I discovered (or, apparently, re-discovered) this site, and it's time I introduce myself. In Jan, 2006, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had been coughing a lot, but back then, my allergies normally caused severe coughing starting around November, right when mine started, so I…

Have any of you long term survivors developed painful spots on your legs/hips?
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia awhile ago but this painful spot thing is new and more painful than the overall fibro. I have two spots like this on my right leg and one especially up on the outer side of my hip that took me to the ER recently. It's not in the bone it seems to be in the flesh. It' so painful it makes my…

Social Security Disability
Hi, everyone. I have some questions and concerns regarding Social Security Disability, and I'd like to know if anyone else shares these concerns. First, I keep hearing that in 2017, benefits will be cut by 20% unless Congress does something to prevent that from happening. If that happens, assuming NO prices go up, I'll be…

Two survivor households?
Just wondered if there are any survivors in a relationship with another cancer survivor? I had WT when I was very young. Five years ago my husband had thyroid cancer. I don't know if having survived it meant I was less scared or more scared for him, but I was pretty darn scared!

Finding a doctor for follow up care
Hello. I was dx WT at age 3 in remission for more than 30 years. I knew I had some lingering problems due to the cancer and treatment. Other problems I've discovered one at a time. As I get older I'd like to avoid more Cancer Surprises or at least be prepared for them. So I'm looking for a doctor who focuses on treatment…

Why won't Doctor address my Pain issues
It has been 2 years cancer free and for some reason My doctors seem reluctant to provide me with pain meds or even address my joint and muscle pain. Can anyone give me any advice on this subject. How does one obtain the proper pain meds without coming off as a drug seeking freak? Has anyone experienced thi type of behavior.
