My husband has had the hiccups for the last 5 hours. Has anyone else suffered from this? If so, what did you do to make them go away?

Sorry for not posting as the last few weeks have been a blur. Ron has been in and out of the ER and clinic for hydration and nutrition problems. He has lost 27lbs and is down to 165 this morning. Only week one...nausea and fatigue...does it get better?
I dint expect the first week to be so challenging. I am 38 and had my hpv+ tonsil and lymph nodes removed a couple weeks ago.
