Boost, Resource, Ensure, etc.
I eat three meals a day. I was trying to supplement with the high calorie/protein drinks but have run into a problem. They seem to make me nauseated after I drink them. Which makes them harder and harder to get down knowing that they are going to make me feel puny. Anyone else have this problem and how did you supplement?…

How do you guys shave? I thought I saw something in the heaps of paperwork I got from the cancer center that I shouldn't shave with a razor any longer. But the thought of shaving with an electric on my already sensitive skin seem like an egyptian torture. God bless, Jamie

Brother's First Scan - NED!!
Hello My Friends, My brother had his scans yesterday and found out this morning that he is NED! To say that I had a fair amount of scanxiety about his first scan post tx, is an understatement. My family and I were definitely dancing around the kitchen table with the good news. Apparently one of his nodes isn't "perfect",…

I am still here
Hey everyone. I am so sorry I left the grid for so long. It has been a very difficult 7 months. I am still missing my husband intensely but I am starting to really move…

Only 7 TOMO/IGRT radiation treatments and sides of tongue red and burning today, help!
Was not expecting this reaction so soon. I have seen photos of mucositis and now am afraid I am headed in that direction. Both sides of my tongue are sore and have lots of small red spots on them and I have only had 7 treatments out of 33. This is not good. I had asked the R/O RN 2 weeks ago to see about getting me some…

Found a neck lump--awaiting FNA results
I'm a 41 year old dad. Today is my son's 9th birthday... And I'm a wreck. Trying to keep it together, but it's tough. I found a lump in my neck a few weeks ago--a little deep, not easy to find. Feels pretty firm--but not rock hard. There's no telling how long it has been there. PCP acted like it was probably nothing--told…

Do You Believe In Miracles?
Not sure what has happened, but I am going to think of it as a miracle, perpetuated by all of you & JBG's faith in a higher being. I just spoke with her & she sounded like a different person. Her pain is gone, no more bleeding, cramps, diarrhea, nausea. She said "the most wonderful doctor in the world"(her surgeon) had…
