STAGE IV QUESTION
Hi again everyone. I was dx stage 4 back in April but I've noticed that a lot of stage 4 have it met to the liver. My stage 4 met to my girlie parts is this a sign that if my cancer comes back that it would most likely be in my liver? Not that I'm thinking it's coming back because I know it isn't but I was just wondering.

Home After Liver Re-section
Alllooo! Wow, what a week. But, I'm home and with some shocking news. The tumors that they took out of my liver did not come back colo-rectal cancer metastasis on my pathology report. The surgeon also didn't think it looked like CRC. They think it is some rare benign liver adenoma!! It is found in young women who have a…

back where I was two months ago
Two months ago, I was taking Erbitux and Camptosar and my CEA increased to 49. My old onc freaked and said that there was nothing more she could do for me. I shouldn't take any more tests, but just hang out and continue with weekly chemo. Eventually my CEA went to 18, but my liver tumors had increased in size and number on…

Tough question for stage IV's
I was just wondering if it's possible for cancer to just "disappear" after a certain time and not reappear. My boyfriend had mets to his liver that had disappeared in his last scan. He's having a CT and PET scan tomorrow and I'm hoping and praying that it's clear again (he's currently on Erbitux and Xeloda). Obviously my…

Today was my first EVER CT scan.My radiologist even queried why I had never had one!I have always had 3 monthly ultrasounds coupled with blood tests and it was logical I guess that now being 2 years out from chemo the surveillance would come at longer durations(now 6 monthly CT's) with a colonoscopy due in august…

CT results... hmmmm
Well, got the results. Shows the tumors have again regressed slightly without any new tumors. We asked the onc what prognosis is without surgery, he said probably 1 year. 2 years is hopeful. UGH!!!!!!! Then we went to talk to the surgeon. He said there is no research in my situation. The only reason they are willing to do…

Monkey Back Home
Hi all... Surgery went great (removed 10-11 inches of colon, plus the tumor and 13 lymph nodes). The staff at the hospital was great and I actually miss 'em :( Pathology came back as T1, N0 but I'm still going to meet with an oncologist anyways - just so I know what my options are (anything to avoid another surgery). I…
