How to peel a potato the easy way
OK, so this email isn't about cancer exactly, but it is a neat way to easily peel potatoes without a peeler and that means you'll have more time to spend with friends and family and less in the kitchen. If you make potato salad, you are going to want to watch this one. Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is in the video.…

Surpassing Expectations...
If you need a little pick-me-up today, this is a moving clip. I think there are a lot of messages in this, but the message I take away from this is one about beating the odds and about the true definition of beauty. As far as an application to our cancer community, I think we all (families and survivors) confront skeptical…

My Dad's Battle with Colon Cancer Has Finally Come to and End
Hello: I joined this board back in 2004-2005 and have found great comfort in coming to this board and reading the messages posted by others and posting my questions. I was not great at contributing to conversations but really got a lot from them. I wanted to thank everyone for their care and support. My dad is not expected…

I have are hard decision to make this week.
I have a 2 cm stump that was left in for some reason, and now the head of the CANCER CENTER in WINSTON-SALEM at the BAPTIST HOSPITAL, wants it removed. I understand why he wants it out, but it should have never been left. I have my RELAY FOR LIFE May 15, and I don't want to have to miss it. What should I do? I don't want…

Accessing Personal Info Page
Hi all, Don't know if this is common knowledge, but I just discovered that by clicking on the picture or name that is in the left margin of each post and reply, I can access that person's Personal Page :) I started on these boards in the dark ages, when the Personal Page info was a bit more cumbersome to reach. Since I'm…

Daffodials and chemo
Phillig, I can't remember if the cancer society gets donations if we purchase daffodils. I looked for your post, but could not find it this time. Anyway, I went to the grocery store today and noticed they had a potted daffodil plant in the floral department and I bought it. It made me feel good.
