Hi, new to these boards. I am a 59 year old male in good health, late last year I found I was short of breath and tired, more than normal (no other symptoms). To make a long story short(er), after several tests, colonoscopy and CT scan, I had surgery to remove the tumor and 34 lymph nodes, of which about half were…

Its that time again
I see a pattern, and I don't know how to break it. My CT Scan and bloods are on the 27th. I feel myself slipping from the happy, carefree, positive person I am as I approach the scans and blood work. It feels like their is cotton wool in my head and I can't get it out. I want to smile and be happy, I do smile and I am…

Ok...so in a nutshell...I just finished my 12 rounds of folfox and 6 weeks of chemo/radiation after surgery in spring to remove tumor (staged at 3a - one lymph node, scans clear). My friend at work had 1 teeny tiny lung spot, now she has 3. The doctor is not opting to do chemo, says there is no point and you just watch these spots. Anyone go through this same experience who can share their opinion/experience?

A clear scan and a 2.0 CEA, good for 4 more months.
I know others are getting tested, and you have all my hopes and thoughts, that you get to move one step closer to freedom from this yoke. For those who don't get a break, I put out the idea that surviving is moving towards that treatment that will change the game with this lousy disease...............................Dave

PET Scan, what to expect
I've always been wimpy abut things like needles and pain. Having cancer and then the PE didn't make me tougher, it made me wimpier, if anything. So I have the PET scan coming up on Thursday morning and I'm wondering what's involved. They said they inject sugar and see where the cancer grabs it and then it lights up if…
