Its very hard for me to eat right, especially when there's a Golden Corral a short drive away. Oh, their carrot cake and bread pudding is so good. I…

PARP inhibitors and triple negative disease?
Have I missed the boards on these? The last snippet of information I have been able to locate on the internet is a year old. Oh and in case anyone cares...I drive less than 5 minutes for treatment, dislike Nicholas Cage but love Russell Crowe, and miss underwire. Just looking for something relevant and less than a year old…

Horoscopes! Entertaining, but rarely accurate, until today...
I am not a believer in psychic things, including horoscopes. If you are a believer, I am also fine with that! Today, however, the horoscope called my name, and I was urged ( by Siobhan!) to share it here on the boards! So I am . Many of you know that I am a long time member of this CSN family~ since April of 2003 and that…

O Boy. My daughter-in-law works at the hospital where all my work is done. She was there, along with her mother who also works at the hospital, thru my surgery. DIL saw to it that I had the best anesthesiologist and pre/post op nurses. Also, she works in the department where the ports are done so I really had someone to…

So, not cancer related. Just what do you think? I cant believe it
Ok, two different stories here. First one is this past weekend we went to the community pool and its huge. They closed it down once for 30 min because a baby got sick. Then about an hour 1/2 later, another shut down, poop in pool. They actually reopened about 40 min later and it was probably an hour later, yep, poop again!…

Well, I had my 3rd expansion done today. I was starting at nothing because they had to take out what was put in during 1st surgery because I had to have two more surgeries for skin that was not healing. I had to wait over 8 weeks before we could do the 1st expansion. My first two expansions were only 60 cc's each. Could…

Seven years ago yesterday - my journey began in earnest with a mammogram & ultrasound that initially revealed breast cancer. Yes, they could tell by the images (not always the case). I am exceedingly grateful for the excellent oncological medical care that has brought me this far, continues today, as it will for the rest…

Just found out I need chemo
Good evening, all! I just got the call from my surgeon with the path report from my lumpectomy on Friday. The tumor was 1.5 cm and the lymph nodes are clear. Can't seem to get rid of the Drains!
I had bilateral mastectomy 4/29/10. My doctor removed my three drains within the first three weeks (two the first time, the last one later). Afterwards I had fluid buildup on the non-cancerous breast side-no lymph nodes removed from that side. Over the next several weeks I had to go to the surgeon weekly to have fluid…
