THE ROCKS ARE GONE!

My surgery went well and im just chillin waitin for all the funky drug effects to wear down, and also tryin to relax and not get alot of movement cuz i want these drains out ASAP...and we all know the less you move around the faster they come out.
I got my first peek at my chest at the doctors yesterday when they removed my bandages...NOT BAD...doc did a good job. I just cant get use to how soft they are now and seem to be evenly shaped...ones not a football and ones not a baseball anymore...they are a little smaller than i wanted but i can live with it...over all i think im happy with them. I think ill get more excited about it as the days go by and i heal up.
Im just happy the rocks are finaly gone!

yayy!
That's we've been wanting to hear!
Congratulations on no more rocks!)) Are your implants smaller than your exanders - how many cc's were they able to put in?
From everything I've read, it takes time for the new implants to drop in and settle, so they could still get better.
Congratulations again on your new softies!) This time next week, I'll have mine!
Big hugs,

What great news!!!Mariannemm said:How exciting
I am a ways away from reconstruction but I can't wait! Right now I look like a boy and we tried to start the process but I got an infection and had to have the expanders removed! So now I have to wait till after radiation! Enjoy..Marianne
So glad everything went well...good to hear from you Jo Jo.
I'm praying you continue to heal. Take it easy and rest. Be careful not to do anything too quickly, even though you feel good.
Keeping you in prayer

Thankx ladys!
Dawne my expanders were at 450 cc's and my implants are 410 cc's. Which i guess is about a small C. Hey did you know these implants come with there own serial numbers...i guess we need those when someone steels our implants from us...lol!
My chest is wrapped in this bra thing and its suppose to stay on for 2 weeks to hold things in place for now so i only got a small peek at them so i might like them better once i can actually see them.
Good luck on your exchange next week Dawne! -

Yahoo Jojo,
I am so jealous. I still have my rocks... for a little while longer. So happy for you.
That's good to know (about the cc's) Thanks.
I have serial numbers on an id card for my expanders. (funny)
Yes, be care so you get those drains out soon. I wasn't sure if we had to do the whole drain thing again.
Take care -

Glad to hear that the rocks are gone Jo Jo. I didn't experience reconstruction but I'm so glad you're on the upswing!
Your picture always makes me smile and it shows what a great personality you have.
Hugs,
Wanda
JoJo...so glad everything went well and you are on the road to recovery. I am proud of your courage to go through the reconstruction. I am scared to even think about doing mine. I have til next summer to get up the courage to do it. Be blessed.

more importantly -- happy with the results of your long awaited, well deserved new breasts! I have been so anxious to hear from you .. as Dawne.Hope and I are getting our ROCKS replaced next week .. same day if I'm not mistaken ... 7/21 for me @ 7:30 a.m. - my plastic surgeon stated .. 2 1/2 to 3 hour surgery - if all goes well.
Drains or Drains .. I can hardly wait - heehe --
Did you have separation anxious when you looked and your football shaped expander was gone? You mention serial number .. id card for breasts .. I also had my id card with my expanders - serial numbers, make, model -- manufacter etc, I was instructed to keep id card with me in my wallet.
Feeling like a whole woman again, I bet. I think I would be so EXCITED that I would be walking around my house .. top less.

I'm so happy for you! I only had a lumpectomy, chemo, rads.. but you and many others here give me hope that if things were to "change" "Hope they dont" then there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for sharing. And for those who are on their way to get rid of their "rocks" Good luck and hope it comes soon.
