Has anyone experienced an allergic reaction to the premeds given before chemo? My blood pressure dropped, oxygen dropped, shortness of breath. This went away within an hour, but my chemo was put off. I see my oncologist Wed so I'll know more then - he'll obviously make a change before the next round. Just curious if anyone…

Warning for women--not cancer related, though
My 59 year old SIL had a massive heart attack last Sunday and died. Never smoked, perfect body weight. She was a gastro RN and probably neglected herself there. Her son said she had terrible acid reflux for a month and was taking an over the counter med for it. Her son is a pharm rep and said that heavy month-long acid…

Had a great chemo grad day today
Whoo whoo last one. Got a certificate signed by all the onco nurses. I brought cupcakes from a local specialty store. It's funny, they usually put leftovers out on the snack table. Mine didn't make it there. And the biggest thing, thanks to Double Whammy (Suzanne), I printed out that hair thing under "this says it all" and…

This says it all
I just had to share this. Hope you enjoy it. Suzanne There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. 'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.' So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw…

neulasta shot
I am going to begin chemo soon and part of the treatment includes receiving a neulasta shot the day after getting chemo. I live quite a distance from my oncologist so it would be difficult for me to go back the next day to receive the shot. I don't want to give it to myself and neither does my husband. Any suggestions?
