BPA in canned food.
I suspect you have heard about the new study about BPA lining the cans of canned goods. While you are getting some further knowlege on this subject please look out for an answer or hint of answer to this question. "Do the lids used for home canning also contain BPA?" I realize that home canning would greatly diminish one's…

Experience with TENS (nerve stimulation) for chronic under arm pain?
DEar Pink Sisters: I had 18 lymph nodes removed May 2010. I have chronic pain (burning sensation) under the arm, radiating down the truck and towards the back. After months of being told by the good docs "it will get better" and didn't I was put on Gabapentin and then switched to Lyrica. I also use a compounded ointment of…

We talked about last years Ornament exchange while we were in Hershey last week and wondered if our dear Chen♥ was doing it this year. One of the girls also asked the question here yesterday. I messaged Chen yesterday asking about it. Although she would love to do it, she feels that she might not be completely up to do it…

Anyone ever needed calcium? What's the scoop?
My husband does have breast cancer, mets to all of the bones. What's the scoop on the calcium? We landed in the hospital, but nothing has really changed. Not because of the calcium. We were told it was inflammatory bowels. Just a little. He was in excruciating pain. Found out he needed some calcium. He has been on chemo…

When it rains it pours... Good News
Just came back from the Dr. This was not a heart attack or blockage, it is ET! The chest and sternum is covered in bone marrow and it is an episode of the ET. He explained that a hematologist/oncologist would have recognized right off that it was not his heart as they would be familiar with ET. He gave him medicine to take…

Excessive Facial Hair After Chemo
Hi: This is my first posting. I completed my chemo treatments on June 1. I am so thankful that my hair is growing back. I have more facial hair on my face (and the back of the neck). Has this been a problem for anyone else? If so, have you had any hair removal treatments? Thanks.

CT Scan results...bad news
CT scan was yesterday evening, my onc called this evening. The Xeloda isn't working and the cancer has spread. You may recall that when the mets were found, cancer was in two lymph nodes between my lungs. At that time there was so little cancer the nodes were not even swollen. Those nodes are now "enlarged" along with a…

I really didn't think I was going to like it this time, but I have to admit, that I like it now. I guess it just takes some time to get to know the celebrities on there before I pass judgement. Tonight was awesome! I was brought to tears. Hubby, not so much ( lol ), but, he sits there with me "cause he knows I like the…

Question to the seasoned ladies out there...
Being new here I'm still trying to figure this site out! On one of my recent threads, I had someone comment that although they didn't have cancer they wondered what it was like to have it, what it was like to not have anyone to talk to, etc. My first thought was to reply, look around your neighborhood, there's plenty of us…

Have you ever felt mischievous during this journey?
I can name at least two times... - It started with the needle biopsie, the assistant who was showing me where I can get undressed really liked my shoes. And I REALLY didn't like the feel of this place. So I offered her my shoes, is shell just jot down that all was well and I could be on my way. And when she hesitated I…

I'm new to this site and don't know what to do next.
Hi I have finally accepted the fact that I am a survivor of cancer. I had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. I will have to have an additional surgery to remove more tissue from around the tumor area, but no more lymph nodes were involved so that is good. I want to know opinions on following the "standard" treatment…

In a clinical trial and had IV/IP taxol and cisplatin and have been on Avastin every 3 weeks as maintenance. Found out I have invasion lobular cancer…
