Qustions about Abraxane ??
My wife will be starting Abraxane tomorrow for stage 4 breast cancer. She has a small spot of mets on her right femur but no damage to the bone. Her Onc says even though she is stage 4 it is very early stage 4 and her PET showed no spread to any vital organs only in the bone and a few lymph nodes near her original tumor…

Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer
I am new to this site. Almost 2 years ago my sister was diagnosed with TN Breast cancer. They did a lumpectomy and we went through 3 rounds of chemo. Had to stop the chemo due to it causing damage to her already weak heart. They told us she was cancer free. Now after about a year she went in for gallbladder surgery as soon…

22 Things to Bring to Chemo
riI saw this on Facebook and thought these ideas were great. I take a pink bag (you know who you are) that dear friends sent me, a fleece, warm socks, my pillow, eyemask, ear plugs, kindle fire, ginger ale, peanut butter crackers, and, of course, my princess wand that Bella gave me. What do you bring?…

I haven't posted in quite some time
But, I have been checking in on occasion to see how everyone is doing and saying prayers for all. Had my 1 year Oncologist visit yesterday and I am doing GREAT! My Ca 27 -29 value was 7. and all my other lab values were also normal. I want to thank all my pink sisters and brothers who advised and prayed for me. Because of…

Woohoo, early stage 1 and not stage 2
I saw my surgeon on Thursday. He said that I am in early stage 1 infiltrating ductal carcinoma, and not stage 2 as I thought. (self diagnosing from the pathology report) I am having a lumpectomy with radiation instead of a mastectomy. The survival rates for the two are identical so I don't feel the need to go radical. I am…

melanoma after breast cancer?
I have to see the doctor about an odd brownish "growth" on my "big" toenail, or under it, can't really tell. At first, I thought maybe I injured it, but didn't remember. But now, it just stays there and doesn't grow out with my nail. :( I already had squamous cell carcinoma about 7 months ago.......just worried. Does…

new question : testing for cancer?
I have been told by my Onc that there are no tests for determining if the cancer is still inside me. He does not even recommend the Cat scan - tho my surgeons do @ the year mark - to compare to my earlier one. But i have seen people talking about "tumor marker" testing - why would i not have that? and several people have…

Tightness in chest - adhesions?
So sorry to be whiny, but I knew I could come here to ask. It has been 6 months since I has surgery (right mastectomy with node removal). I did chemo first, surgery, then radiation...that was done October 30. I was doing really well with my range of motion and healing seemed to be coming along fine. About a month ago, I…

Tamoxifen and menstrual cycle
I have been taking Tamoxifen since October last year. Since then, my menstrual cycle produced increasingly and substantially less blood each month. Should I be worried about it (that is, what kind of problems may it cause to my body and health?) In particular, will I suffer some terrible gynecological problems from not…

SIDE EFFECTS
I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer after a routine self exam. I'd had my routine mammogram in Nov. of 2005 and felt the tiny lump in May of 2006. Unsure of what it was, I had my husband feel it and a couple of my girlfriends. :-) After starting to worry that it didn't feel like one of the fibroids I'd had in my…

Don't think I posted on 'all clear' on golf ball sized diameter polyps in uterus. Done and dusted. Caused or made worse by anti estrogens. So if you have unusual bleeding please get it checked out just in case ladies. Also if tooth sensitivity seems worse or started after chemo or anti estrogen treatment again have it…
