Qustions about Abraxane ??
My wife will be starting Abraxane tomorrow for stage 4 breast cancer. She has a small spot of mets on her right femur but no damage to the bone. Her Onc says even though she is stage 4 it is very early stage 4 and her PET showed no spread to any vital organs only in the bone and a few lymph nodes near her original tumor site. Has anyone else here been on Abraxane? She is 50% ER pos, HER2 Neg and PR neg. She was diagnosed as stage 2 in Oct 2012, did chemo, double mast and rads. Last month she felt a swolen lymph node in her shoulder and the biopsy came back pos. PET showed stage 4. Cancer sucks so much !!!! God bless

I was on Abraxane
It was the easiest chemo that I have been on, the least s/e. Unfortunately, as easy as it was, my tumors continued to progress. I have been on 4 others since then and the response was the same on all of them. My cancer is most likely HRT induced, and chemo is not very effective ascording to reports that we have found.
I think the abraxane slowed the growth some, but we were looking for one that would do more.
I wish her the best. From everything I have read, it is suppose to be quite effective for bone mets . I loge how supportive you have been through her journey.
Hugs and prayers.
