I am now a cancer patient.
On 8/3/2012 I was told by my Gyn that my biopsy showed that I had cancer. My first reaction was to cry. My doc was wonderful,he held my hand and tried to console me. He told me to focus and please listen to what he was going to say. He told me reports indicate grade 1 endometrian cancer and he thought stage 1 but would…

thanks Trisha
Hi Trisha, I had my first visit with Dr. Lea yesterday. I really like her she is soft spoken and goes over everything with you and really takes the time to explain. She was very concerned that no lymph nodes were sampled and that i was put off for a long time getting on a oncology board. She felt like a lot of time was…

CELEBRATING
Ladies, I know a few of us have been waiting for tests. I'm celebrating NED! Wow, this is remarkable what the information does for you. I have had a difficult time believing I'd be NED. Truth! I said I have Faith, while I was imagining the worse. Honestly, I was caving into my imagination a bit. I felt pain, in the entire…

It was supposed to help relieve stress, but I have been trying to do this for four months and it just makes me more nervy! I get more relaxation from reading my Bible and praying or just sitting on…

Has Anyone Tried Fra-infrared Saunas?
With high ferritin levels since my second transfusion eight months ago, I keep reading that saunas are really good for cancer patients (heating the body up helps to not only detoxify but to antagonize cancer cells); I read that infrared saunas are perhaps the best. Even if they're beneficial for us, how often do we have to…

I am reading every day, though. Thanks all for the encouragement. A question: I've been taking Premarin for over 20 years. They…

Now it is my cat
I have 7 cats, all adopted as injured, stray, abused kittens. I am on SSI, so it's a struggle to keep them, but they are my only family. My Jonathan went to the vet today, and he has oral cancer. Prognosis is very poor. I am just devastated. He has gotten very thin, surgery is possible, but it's spread, so that's useless.…

Is ther a link between uterine and colon cancer if there's no Lynch or hnpcc syndrome?
I ask because the gastroenterologist wanted to do a colonoscopy, in part, because of the uterine cancer. I do not have Lynch Syndrome which seems to be closely tied to uterine and colon cancer. I had a colonoscopy about 5 years ago and it was fine. I started the prep this week and couldn't Hold it down. The doctor said I…

Not particularly worried about cancer (endometrial tissue was fine), but it's still girl parts, so I'm going to vent here. My daughter is 39 and had a uterine ablation on the 6th because of excessive almost daily bleeding. She also has pretty significant cramping and has all the hormonal pms stuff. The hope was that the…
