Urologist Appt tomorrow
Just got a call from the urologists' office - they had a cancellation so I'm going in tomorrow. I guess we'll discuss the surgery date. Is it possible to be anxious and relieved at the same time???

New. Waiting. Worried
I just received ultrasound results that show a 3.3cm mass on my left kidney. I go in for a CT soon (it's trying to be scheduled now). Of course, I'm anxious. I know that my mass (as of now) appears to be one of the smaller ones. Does that mean it's less likely to have spread? Do they look ALL over your organs in a CT scan…

Future Follow Ups
Hi all, A while ago I was comparing the follow up scans you North Americans get to mine here in south east Queensland, Australia. I thought they were going to say good bye and leave any follow up scans to my GP (PCP). But, I was wrong. The urology dept. of my closest hospital (where my nephrectomy was done) will monitor me…

CT Scan Results and Questions
I received my CT scan results today - and I'm in an odd situation where I got them before I spoke with my doctor, so it's me and Dr. Google figuring things out right now. Overall, I don't THINK it looks that bad. The tumor is a little bigger than the ultrasound showed (4.8 cm vs 3.3 cm), but all of the internal organ stuff…

Things have taken a turn for the worse.
In March 2014 I met with Doctor Hans Hammers at John Hopkins University Hospital to discuss treatment options. Doctor Hammers said something to me that I have never forgotten - “That once I stopped treatment, I would be taking the brakes off your cancer”. My March 15th scans revealed a liver lesion in the right posterior…
