low grade pain in loin area
Hi all, I don't know if I am having a psychosomatic pain, but for the last 2 days I have been having a low grade pain/discomfort in my left loin area. Is my tumor potentially growing? On the scan it was bulging out of the lower portion of the kidney. I am worried that it may envelope the fascia or grow through it. Is this something I need to worry about, or call the Dr. about? Am I going nuts? Right now it feels like a mild burning there. Should I hold off a couple of days to see what transpires? My surgery is scheduled for March 12th. Way too long for my mind, but they have to share the robot in their practice, so this Dr. only gets it on Mondays. Thanks in advance!

It would
be unlikely but without seeing your scans only your doctor would be able to assure you
I believe the tumour sends out strange symptoms so it is probably just telling you it is there
RCC is supposed to be very slow growing so it is not about to just have a growth spurt
but I would never wait that long
whilst stage 1 is supposed to be cured by surgery RCc is unpredictable .. often re-appearing many many years later
i take it surgeon was happy to wait two months

You are truly an inspiration.foxhd said:You are going
to be hyper aware of every ache and pain for some time to come. Just like everyone. And just like everyone, you'll be ok. Keep a journal of your changes. Sometimes it gets confusing.
You are truly an inspiration. I look forward to reading your post daily. Thank you for being you.

While you will be
While you will be hypersensitive to every ache and pain, you know your body best.
If it's something that worries you, I'd contact your doctor. Especially if it persists or gets worse.
March 12th is a long time to sit around worrying about something like this.

Growing
They don't grow fast enough that you can feel it. They grow slowly.
However, you might feel it anyways. I had terrible pain like a kidney stone. It was blood clots from the tumor insdie my kidney passing through to the bladder. That and the red urine sent me to the ER.
I was having unexplained pain on my side when they did the CT scan and found my adrenal gland tumor.
I'd report it. If it comes and goes, it's probably not the tumor, but it could be.
Why are you waiting so long for the surgery? Is it the doc's schedule?
