I've been following this board daily for a couple months now, and feel it's time I introduce myself. Actually, I tried to last week, and after writing a rather lengthy review of my health history, my message just seemed to disappear. I'm determined to try again, as I'm really impressed with the members on this board, and…

super high calorie shake that can pass through PEG tube
I thought I would share the recipe I have used to keep my husband’s weight stable during chemo/radiation. He started at 160 lbs., lost 5 lbs. after the first two weeks of treatment, then ended treatment three days ago at 160 lbs. We were told he would lose lots of weight, so I am pleased to say that doesn't have to happen.…

I just recently had my six month check-up by my medical oncologist. She tells me that she is moderately concerned about a scaly type growth on my left ear. As such, she refers me to a dermatologist. Be sure to stay checked in with your internist during rad & chemo
My husband and I have learned thru this experience how important it is to check in with your OWN Dr. Our internist has been awesome and offered options that the oncologists didn't.
