Clean PET/CT scans that is! It's a new record for me. Not bad for stage 4 NPC with mets to bone. Now if only the Giants would start winning some games. Wishing you all the joy and freedom that I'm feeling today, AB

My Brother Has Rung The Bell!!
Well, it has been a long 7 weeks, but my brother has finally finished with his treatments. He is doing pretty well, I guess. He spent one day in the hospital because of severe constipation (not fun), this neck has blistered and is dealing with the typical sores in his mouth. His attitude is still great, however, and he is…

Clean and Green
Hi All Had the PET Scan Thursday morning and asked them when I could call the doc to get the results and they told me he would have them in a few hours but I should wait until yesterday. I dashed from that area of the hospital to the coffee shop next door for my long awaited coffee. I had to rid my mind of the scanxiety so…

Getting a bit concerned about my dysplasia site....
Hi all, In February I posted here for the first time because I had a lesion on the right side of my oral tongue which needed biopsying. The pathology turned out to moderate dysplasia and the diagnosis was pre-cancerous Leukoplakia with no evidence of carcinoma in situ. On April 30th I had much of the right side of my…

Still have my PEG after weight check
Had my weight check this morning. Rad oncologist said last visit "I want to see you maintain or go up a couple of lbs by next visit and we'll talk about getting that tube out." I had gained 5 lbs but then was struck this week with the stomach bug :( I told the nurse (not my usual nurse) about the virus I had, and she said…

Just learned that my brother back in the UK has incurable stomach cancer, has also spread to his liver. Doctors told him they would give him chemo and make him as comfortable as they can. Cancer truly is a family curse, that's all four of us siblings to get this disease, my dad also died of cancer. Not H&N I know but…

Update on my mom
Sorry I've been so absent the past week or so. We all know what a whirlwind it is between diagnosis and starting treatment, and I've been going through that with Mom. We got the best news we could get under the circumstances. Her PET scan showed only the cancer we already knew about: a lesion in the lung with involvement…

peg question
Can you control how slow your peg takes in liquid. Tonite mom used the dial on it to open, then put syringe of ensure in the tube and let it drop in without plunger part. Seemed a lil fast. Is this typical? Dad felt a lil sick afterward but I'm guessing it's bc nothings been in his stomach for weeks. Any tips to make…

Hi all, Just came back from Dr. Office and it is not cancer. I told him what happened with his secretary and he got really upset.
