Brother

Just learned that my brother back in the UK has incurable stomach cancer, has also spread to his liver. Doctors told him they would give him chemo and make him as comfortable as they can. Cancer truly is a family curse, that's all four of us siblings to get this disease, my dad also died of cancer. Not H&N I know but prayers would be deeply appreciated, he is one of my all time favorite people, this hurts. Denis

I am so sorry!
Oh Denis, I am so very sorry to hear about your brother. When I heard that my younger brother had cancer it was like getting kicked in the gut. He is one of my most loved people in this whole world as well. I was physically sick with the news, and his is most probably not terminal, so I can't even imagine your pain right now. I also cannot fathom having so many people in one family having cancer. You are truly being tested. Try to keep the faith, I will add your brother to my evening prayers tonight.

I am sorry that your family has to go through this crap. My family has experienced it 3 times in the past 20 years. At least you can understand his pain, fear, and can help him emotionally to handle all this.
Thoughts coming your way,
Steve

Thank you all, he is taking it pretty bad but his lovely wife Cathy will help him through this. Funny but I worry more because he is in the UK. if he were here I would have him off to Johns Hopkins and Penn State Hershey for other opinions. I am not sure how everything works in the UK with the NHS, I have not lived there for nearly 40 years, but I hope he gets another opinion. I will talk to him Sunday and be more prepared to go into details, last time we spoke I was in shock, you think your big brother is invincible. Yes we have been hit hard as a family with cancer, except my dear old mum, lived to be 95 and I never saw her sick, a little dementia near the end but that was it. She died of old age and in no pain. her mother lived to 97. We will soldier on. Denis
