Hi all, I agree with everyone, don't like this at all. A lot of information is now gone. I complained too. They should have left it alone. Emmi

What's up with this?
Sorry to complain, but I feel like I just landed on another planet. I can't find the chat, our last week of messages seems to be lost, and the resource I listed on my web page goes to MY web page here, it's supposed to go too the one I have on the internet. OK, OK so I don't like change guess I'll get used to it. Sevey and…

USER UNFRIENDLY!
Hi: Just posting to say that this new format seems to be one big glitch. I'm finding it very user unfriendly and confusing. My mail box shows, as NEW messages, e-mails, which were already read and replied to, over two weeks ago. I seldom ever go to chat, but WHERE is it, for those ladies who frequently use it? Postings…

I'm new and need some support/information.
Hello. My name is Jeremy. I have a very unique situation and am in need of information and support. My girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer at around age 18. We are now 20 and after the cancer went into remission it has now returned as stage 3A. Let's start with the story. I talked to this girl on the phone and we…

Beating the odds
I'm a 'stage 4' myself, I'd be 6 feet under by now if my MDs had it there way. No joke, not that they wish me any harm, but one surgeon said "IF you make it through chemo you need to have a bilat mastectomy." Encouraging statement 1 week after diagnosis. Happy to say that was June 2000. Sad to say he was right about the IF…

Latest amazing moments of Marty
Hello all! Yesterday (Sunday) was started with the sheer terror of my right thigh turning black/purple whilst I was showering. A visit to the emergency room, ultrasound and the Doctor's "Hmmm, odd."... Not terribly reassuring but we were eventually released and told to rest until the Oncologist saw me for my last chemo…

Hummingbyrd ??
How did you get herceptin? Are you in a clinical trial. I am curious, as the only way I can get it is to go in to a trial where there is a 1 in 3 chance of getting it. Also, any suggestions as to ease nausea during chemo? How sick can I expect to be. I know everyone is different, but is it as bad as I think it will be?…

I would love to hear from any HER+ breast cancer patients who have used Herceptin. Would it be advisable for everyone? Thanks for sending me your message re: herceptin. Was your original cancer in the lymph nodes. Mine isn't however, I had invasive breast cancer at stage 3. This would be a blind study so I may not actually receive herceptin. This takes an additional year of treatment. I'm still confused. What do you mean by bone mets?…

Question
Dear Friends. Especially to those of you that are post menopausal: Have any of you ever had polyps in the uterus that caused some bleeding? My oncologist sent me to my GYN when I told him of some unusual bleeding (haven't had a period in 7 years). The GYN did a biopsy and said everything was okay, but that I had a polyp in…

Help! Sister-in-law needs prayers ladies!
My sister-in-law, who is so dear to me is pregnant. She has been trying for over a year to get pregnant. Back in April she had a bad experience with an ectopic pregnancy. She is now 16 weeks pregnant and her AFP is elevated. Hopefully this means her dates are wrong or she has twins. The worst case scenario is a neural tube…

More Data Needed
If these tumor markers are going to be validated, then there should be more data collection. I'm worried about changing meds that might be working just because of tumor markers, unless they are truly valid markers of tumor growth. We need careful collection of data. For example, does anyone stay on Tamoxifen for five years…
