Anyway, I am new to everything and becoming a research expert on tests, meds, etc. I posted earlier about Oncotype and got some great, informative responses. I have also been reading old posts and learning a lot. I'm hoping this will keep…

Drug reactions
This is my first time to ever enter a discussion about my cancer, but I'm desperate now and would like some feedback from fellow survivors. I've never joined a support group, because I am a very private person and just don't think I could share my life with others face-to-face. Sorry for the long-winded email. I guess I…

Question about seeing results from femara or other AIs.
I didn't know quite what to put in the subject line here. I have recurrent breast cancer in my reconstructed breast and am taking femara as neoadjuvant therapy. I definitely see an improvement already, after three weeks. My question concerns the thickened areas of skin. (You know how the tumor appears first, then changes…

Back from St. Louis with NED in tow!
The last couple of weeks have been intense for Moopy and me. Two weeks ago today (May 19) we were in St. Louis with our oncologist there. A pleasant, upbeat meeting - except while rereading Moopy's PET scan from December, she saw a possible "hot spot" in one of the intramammary lymph nodes. This, in turn, affected plans…

I can relate, thought I would share...

Breaking the News to Mom
