Surgery, Radiation, and Frustration
Up until today everything was 80% fine. I am in remission and I have started plans of eventually paying off our bills. I may need some sort of financial counseling in my future to have a concrete plan of attack but medically all everyone seems to be doing is adding not subtracting. I started getting a handle on what things…

Good Things Happen When You Travel On The Pink Bus~ Thank You, Kindreds!
Home at last~ I was a very good patient! The IV didn't want to drip very quickly, so it took a long time for the Nuclear meds to infuse~ but the person who did the actual PET scan was so nice to me! He wrapped me up in a warm blanket, and actually told me I was soooo cute! HA~ that made me laugh out loud~I was so relaxed…

Mammo Monday
(Didn't mean to rhyme!) This is the first mammo since my right mastectomy in December. That breast is clear per teh PET scan in Feb. but there's a "nodule" on the left that they want to watch. They don't think it's anything to worry about but want to keep an eye on it. Is the pink bus available? Could really use some moral…

Had more blood work to rule out
blood clotting issues. Last Thursday a large bruise started to show on my mastectomy chest. I had not had any trauma since Memorial weekend when I fell. The bruising from that fall lasted a month but this new bruise just appeared after starting to take my aspirin again. I'm tired of having to worry about what could be…

Writing to Heal, Learn and Grow

PTSD from breast cancer and really horrible medical unprofessionals?
I have mentioned here and there the awful, and I do mean awful time I have had with drs since my cancer diagnoses. Some were cancer were related, one was a neurologist. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers after my surgery last week. I am feeling very good, and am really trying hard to keep off my bike for a week or so at least. I do have a little swelling and tenderness in my right arm pit, but other than that I feel pretty normal. On to worse things - it sucks having to…
