2 Years Ago This Morning, We Lost Our Beloved Moopy/Lisa
I know many of you remember Lisa and what a very, special pink sister she was. I used to love to see her online as she was always so upbeat and positive, even though she was facing a hard road ahead of her. Her spirit and smile were truly amazing. I don't think I can remember one time she ever complained and she had plenty…

I have been having slowly increasing rib pain the last month. My onc is sending me for bone scan and xrays Thurs. Had blood work done today. I won't see my oncologist until the 18th because I am having a sisters reunion in Savannahs next week. I refuse to see him until I've had my fun!

Any hints for dealing with rib pain?
I am packing thermacare heat wraps, vicodin, aleve, etc. when I head to Savannah. Pain has been bad lately--especially at night or when I take a deep breath. I refuse to let this spoil my vacation. What do those of you who have this pain find helpful? Thanks!

Did you know they can do surgery for lymphedema?
I didn't know that. A friend of mine was talking about it to me and she sent me this link from breastcancer.org about it. She said a woman just recently had it done. All I can say is..WOW It would be great if it works. Have you heard of it? http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/lymphedema/treatments/surgery

new cancer and bloody discharge
I had cancer in 2006, then a lumpectomy, then radiation. It was ok for six years then I developed angiosarcoma cancer from the radiation treatments in 2006. It is a rare cancer that any kind of treatments do not affect it , it keeps coming back. Only 1 or 5 percent not sure which number of the nation has it . It doesn't…

Hope it is OK to post here
My name is Tina, I am 37 years old. I found lumps months ago. Finally made an appointment last Monday with GP. He said he felt them too. Said I would need a mammo in 2 weeks. 2 DAYS later, the hospital phones and says I am getting an ultrasound instead. Tech was a cow. Before she scanned me, she scolded me for being there,…

What do I look for?
I am currently in remission for non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Of course, one thought that lurks in the back of the mind is that once you've had one cancer, secondary cancers are more likely. And my doctor point blank told me that since the lymphoma was in a large tumor in my lungs, and since I am young, I have a greater risk for…

Radiation Problems
I have now finished 17 of 33 treatments. Radiation burn began after second day. Doctor started treating it as infection--"no one reacts after two days." After 10 days on Keflex and 5 days on Cipro she admitted it was probably radiation burn after all and offers notes to work, to my husband about no housework, and pain…

Recurrence Prevention
Is there such a thing? My oh so brilliant (and I mean brilliant) daughter had a talk with me this past week. She says I am being irresponsible about my diet and ways of living. My diet is whatever I feel like eating whenever I feel like eating and I go for walks when the mood hits. I need to be near trails in order to be…
