Monday's pink bus -- could I trouble you to make one more stop?
It's my annual mammogram, three years since diagnosis and treatment and I'm nervous. And even more frustrating is the fact it often takes a week to get the results. The imaging center always tells me the doctors will have the results the next day, but though I call (and beg and plead) and leave messages offering to bring…

Hello, I am a triple negative breast cancer survivor. I finished my chemo treatments in September 2011. for the past year or so I have been having a problem with what I think are inflamed taste buds. Arimidex vs. tamoxifen
Hi all. I posted about a week ago the concerns about quality of life on Arimidex. I went to my oncologist today and he took me off of it stating that he's had 'a lot of complaints about the side effects being worse than the disease itself'. He's put me on Tamoxifen starting today. Can anyone tell me their experiences with…

Would you have your rad tattoo's removed?
Mine are really faded and you can barely see them. I have a girlfriend that is thinking of having hers removed by laser. I thought I had read somewhere that you might want to keep them, so, if you go to the hospital, they will see them and realize you had rads? But, mine are so faded that I don't think they'd see them.…

I am a breast cancer survivor two years down the road. I had a lumpectomy (Her2 Positive) and left armpit lymph node clearance back in September 2010. I had Chemo (Carboplatin and taxatere), Herceptin and Radiotherapy. I am currently on Tamoxifen (since April 2011) and have experienced tiredness since day one. However it…

So far, so good :-)
Radiologist herself came out to let me know bone scan is unchanged! Yippee!!! I am still waiting to hear about the chest Xray, but I am beginning to wonder if this is the freakin shingles again? I took a valtrex per my pcp's instructions and he is calling in more. I hate shingles, if that is what this is, but it sure beats…

Anyone have reconstruction after having severe radiation burns from treatment?

2 Years Ago This Morning, We Lost Our Beloved Moopy/Lisa
I know many of you remember Lisa and what a very, special pink sister she was. I used to love to see her online as she was always so upbeat and positive, even though she was facing a hard road ahead of her. Her spirit and smile were truly amazing. I don't think I can remember one time she ever complained and she had plenty…

Requesting pink bus for Thursday
I have been having slowly increasing rib pain the last month. My onc is sending me for bone scan and xrays Thurs. Had blood work done today. I won't see my oncologist until the 18th because I am having a sisters reunion in Savannahs next week. I refuse to see him until I've had my fun!
-
Any hints for dealing with rib pain?
I am packing thermacare heat wraps, vicodin, aleve, etc. when I head to Savannah. Pain has been bad lately--especially at night or when I take a deep breath. I refuse to let this spoil my vacation. What do those of you who have this pain find helpful? Thanks!

Hope it is OK to post here
My name is Tina, I am 37 years old. I found lumps months ago. Finally made an appointment last Monday with GP. He said he felt them too. Said I would need a mammo in 2 weeks. 2 DAYS later, the hospital phones and says I am getting an ultrasound instead. Tech was a cow. Before she scanned me, she scolded me for being there,…

What do I look for?
I am currently in remission for non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Of course, one thought that lurks in the back of the mind is that once you've had one cancer, secondary cancers are more likely. And my doctor point blank told me that since the lymphoma was in a large tumor in my lungs, and since I am young, I have a greater risk for…
