Me Myself and ER
Well ... I've been in some pretty bad pain for the past 2 weeks. The ribs directly under the diseased breast hurt like holy hell! There is one spot in particular that really makes me cry when it's touched. The pain is in the ribs behind the same spot as the front. You know, just turn me over and hit the same spot as if it…

Hi Ladies, I haven't posted in a while...some of you may remember me. I hop on every once in a while to see what's going on...so many new names and faces! As a short recap, I was dx'd in 2009. Had a lumpectomy, 4 C/T chemo and rads. Now on Tamoxifen. I decided I wanted to do reconstruction so I had the Latissmus Flap done…

Latissumus flap questions...surgery scheduled
Hi,I am new on this site although I am 5 years out from my diagnosis of DCIS. I had 2 lumpectomies in the same spot which have left me uneven, followed by radiation. I learned insurance will pay to make women even after breast cancer surgery. I have seen a plastic surgeon who wants to do a latissimus flap, and although I…

When reading the posts made by my sisters, it makes me feel that my cancer wasn't really cancer. Is that strange? Am i messed up for feeling this way? I did…

Just saying Hey!
I have not been on the site for a while. It was good to see posts and pictures of those I haven't seen in a while. It has been three years since my cancer and everything is going well. I had to get another job in addition to my teaching position, so I am working 7 days a week. It gets old, but right now it is needed. I am…

Rare breast cancer follow-up question?????
So.... one year ago I had a double mastectomy for Secretory Carcinoma of the breast. This is a rare BC accounting for less than 1% of ALL breast cancers! It is often missed on mammograms and was found when I had a follow-up PET scan for Anal Cancer (diagnosed and treated just 1yr prior). A while back I registered with NCCN…

That's right! NED is still swinging me around the dance floor! The techs didn't say NED, but, they said no change from my last mammo and ultrasound and that everything is fine! WHEW! Sigh....SAT phones DO work on a ship!
Friday morning on our cruise (second day in Israel) at 3am, the phone by our bed in our cabin rang. It was my beau's son, and he was excitied to be calling on SAT...at almost $8 per minute, it is no bargain! He was calling to say that there was an attempted break-in at our California home. All worked out, the alarm went…
